Does somebody have a link to that? I haven't read anything about that.

No real complaints from me, while Carragher's tackle probably wasn't the smartest tackle he did scrape the ball so no penalty. I had a feeling we would lose this game though.

We really need to spend some of that Ronaldo coin and get a new midfield.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes key decisions went against Manchester United as they lost to Liverpool.

Ferguson conceded Liverpool deserved their 2-0 win but felt his team and referee Andre Marriner struggled with the intimidating atmosphere at Anfield.

"All in all Liverpool were the better team but I think it affected our players and the referee," he said.

"There were so many controversial things that happened we have to feel aggrieved at some of them."
Ferguson, recently charged by the Football Association following remarks about the fitness of referee Alan Wiley, thought that three crucial decisions went against his team.

United had a first-half penalty appeal turned down when Jamie Carragher challenged Michael Carrick and Ferguson added: "He has gone right over the top of the ball.

"If it is outside of the box it is a free-kick and maybe a yellow card but it was inside the box and the referee was only six yards from it. It was another bad decision."

Nemanja Vidic was sent off after picking up two yellow cards, but by then Carragher had avoided instant dismissal when bringing down United substitute Michael Owen
Ferguson said: "Every decision, the crowd put the referee under pressure all the time.

Agreed.
Scholes and Giggs seemed well past it, Valencia was OK in patches and Carrick was ordinary.
Some reports are claiming that Masch and Lucas were too quick for UTD's midfield.
Not sure I read it that way, mainly cause when Lucas goes near the ball I close my eyes, but if thats true then you're right RM, spend some Ronaldo coin on a good midfielder with some pace.

Interesting interview wit Fergie this week where he accuses the media of trying to humiliate players, after Ferdinand has come in for some criticism.

Rio has been crap this year, but what is farcical is Fergies reaction. this is the same guy who has spent the last 20 odd years using the media to his advantage in his mind games with Wenger, Rafa, the special One, and any other team manager who threatens Man U's dominance.

Hypocrite of the century????:

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5768088,00.html

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was unhappy with the timekeeping of referee Martin Atkinson following the defeat to Aston Villa.

Ferguson's troops fell to their first home defeat of the season as Gabriel Agbonlahor's first-half header gave Villa a famous victory.

United chief Ferguson was irritated at the amount of time added on by Atkinson, who decided three minutes was enough for six substitutions and two lengthy injury stoppages, and the Scot has called for a change in how added time is worked out.

"The timing should be taken out of the referee's hands," bemoaned Ferguson. "Those two stoppages took two minutes and 20 seconds, and then there were the substitutions on top of that. That is disappointing.

"It is silly really. We are nearly in 2010. A change should be made."

In crisis mode at the moment, need to get our defence back as we are going to struggle with a bunch of midfielders filling the back 3 or 4.

Good to see you enjoy the loss Bulldog, congrats on the win over night against lowly opposition as that is all Arsenal can manage to do in recent seasons.

so the win against your mob last year at the emirates was lowly opposition? the draw against your mob at your ground is lowly opposition. the win over chelsea at stamford bridge last season is lowly opposition? the win over liverpool at ANFIELD. (which your mob couldnt do ) 2 weeks ago is lowly opposition? the win over fulham this season 1-0 at Craven cottage, which your mob couldnt do last night is lowly opposition?the win over your mob at YOUR ground the previous season 1-0 thanks to a goal from adebayor is lowly opposition?

get your facts right before having a dig.
i think your just jealous and upset that your team may not be so good this season and not given the championship like previous seasons is starting to get to you

Haha yes Liverpool would be considered lowly opposition this season. ;)

Well if you are so awesome against the top teams then why have you not won anything in a good 5 years or so?

Also how the **** am I jealous of Arsenal? I said at the start of the season that it is Chelsea's title to lose but I guess you guys just want to finish top 4 again as that is a successful season for you these days.

Peronally I think it is good for the EPL that United aren't dominating, as much as it is good that Spurs, Arsenal and Villa are making a fist of it. For the last god knows how many seasons the relegation battle has been far more interesting than the title race. Chelsea's draw today made it just a tad more interesting at the top and the bottom

Congratulations to Man U. for avoiding relegation this season.

They join Chelsea as the only other club so far to be guaranteed a Premier League spot next season.

Had to laugh at this commentary on the sky sports coverage of last nights game:

90 With this being a game involving Manchester United there will be six minutes of added time. Not sure where those came from.

P.S. Let's all laugh at man utd!!!

Ah yeah mate, laugh it up?

Not sure why you felt the need to laugh at both Arsenal and Man Utd this morning, typical Tottenham antics I guess.
