Fish, I am with you, let Bulldog polish the silverware at the Emirates, or at least polish something else at home.

FISH, sorry about the Goons coming over and invading our superior site, I have had a shot at them on the French (er Arsenal) site. We definately need DA's wit back to counter balance the goon invasion. I can't do any of that cr.p with the computer.

Nice one BF. By the way I think that many Arsenal supporters, including Bulldog, may be too young to know what silverware is!

Is it only me Fish or do other people think these Goons take life too seriously. Do wish I could watch the soccer with Bulldog on the weekend, should somehow we manage to snatch some points, I am sure he will have to seek counselling.

Unfortunately with an early tee time and a need for 8 solid hours, I will only dream of Bale scoring a winner in the 5th minute of extra time. When the alarm sounds, my first move (hopefully before the bowels) will be the EPL site, which will determine my mood, at least until I tee off. Don't drink too much. AND I am not very confident, but so be it, win, lose or draw, the YID army will still be singing.

Bully, I don't use terms such as monkeys or frogs, French Foreign Legion was the post. It was used more to generate discussion on the merits or otherwise of the foreign invasion into the EPL. MH actually replied that when Arsenal were winning titles, they had the back 4 of England, why have they totally gone away from playing the locals. The club is big enough to entice the best they have, with really only MU and Chelski to offer what they can.

The problem is that the big sides snap up youth players but don't develop them, preferring instead for foreign "talent".

Good example is a lad called Javk Coffee. He was a BURNLEY starlet with what looked like a great future. Man U came calling and signed him as a sixteen year old for £100k. Too much money for the clarets to turn down 3 or 4 years ago. Coffee would be 19 or 20 now but I haven't heard of him since, not in the reserves, or any MM cup comps.

Now I'm not saying young Jack would/will develop into a top player, afterall not all good youngsters do, but have Man U really spent much time on his development. Many top clubs snap up promising players to stop other EPL sides from getting them.

No doubt Blackburn would have been interested in him had he not gone to Man U. Maybe a better move for him in the long term as many of these kids are released when they are in their twenties and it's all passed them by

I agree with the way man utd and chelsea operate once they sign a youngster like that. Not being biased but I'd say Arsenal would be the best club for a youngster to sign at that age as they will be certain of game time and there's no need for me to name the players who have played at an young age for Arsenal because most of us know who they are
