Tidy start for the Reds at Anfield, although they could be 3-nil up (should be at least 2-nil) so all for nothing if we dont take the 3 points.

Thought Downing, Adam and Henderson looked alright, but obviously most teams will have a bit of early season rust so too early to make any big calls .. Suarez still goes down more often than Jenna Jameson (no different to Torres I guess), and whilst I will watch eagerly, I still think we might have some question marks at the back this year.

Encouraging signs though, given that Gerrard and Kuyt arent out there.

Yes should have been 3 or 4 up at half. Sunderland lucky not to be a man down early either, seen guys sent off for that.
Interesting that Sunderland won the shot count 15-12, pretty impressive at an away game especially one so highly rated.

Definitely .. At halftime life was looking good for us, 2nd half several blokes went missing .. Before tonight's game I thought Sunderland would be top 10 this season, nothing tonight to change that opinion.

**** Steve Bruce, he always goes well against us lol

Very happy as I had Sunderland in my top 6. They appear to be building a decent squad and Brucey seems to get the best out of them. Very dangerous side and they will take many more points of the big clubs this season.

Fair call on all fronts mate, even if Steve Bruce is a **** ... Would he ever be considered as Fergie's replacement? I know he's never been in charge of a big club with big funds, but he's always gotten his club with less resources to perform well.

Yep absolute joke, at first he appears to be taking the moral high ground have a crack at a bloke for diving only for himself to then put in a shocking diving performance himself. DISGRACE

What about Taylor from Newcastle once its happened telling the ref he the Arsenal bloke hit him with an elbow.

Cant believe Barton carried on for ages afterwards telling every Arsenal player that would listen that he was punched. I hope the next time they play an Arsenal player snaps his bloody leg in half for lying to them as well.

Stoke and Chelsea 0-0 at the half. The chavs look rubbish with Torres up front, They have Anelka and Drogba on bench who are both far better options then that waste of money.
