Yes they have Bully. It's just not official yet. Sky will be hoping for a Man U loss this week.

13/05/2009 22:52, Report by Steve BartramReds make Tevez progressSir Alex Ferguson is still hopeful of a positive resolution to Carlos Tevez's ongoing transfer saga.

Reports in the media have suggested the striker would leave Old Trafford at the end of this season following a two-year loan deal.

However, on the back of United's win at Wigan - in which Tevez netted a vital equaliser - Sir Alex broke his silence on the matter, and confirmed that the Argentine is very much on his wanted list.

"I think we've had progress today," the manager told MUTV. "David Gill's had a good meeting today, I've spoken to Carlos and we've given him an offer we hope he accepts. That's where we are.

"He's a great little player and once again he's shown his mettle. He's scored so many important goals and he's got another one for us tonight."

Tevez's all-action approach established him as a fans' favourite within weeks of his arrival at Old Trafford last season, and Sir Alex admits the striker's attitude is commendable.

"They (the fans) love him because he's a trier," he said. "He's got tremendous skill, of course, but he never gives in. That's a great quality to have in the modern game, he's got the hunger to fight all the time and it's a wonderful thing to see."

This is some positive news for us United fans fingers crossed something can be sorted sooner rather than later.

I hope Tevez stays, another crucial goal.

It would be nice to wrap it up this week at home, United have only done that once under Sir Alex.

At least you won't have to worry about which team to follow in the Premiership next season RM, after Cardiff's demise in the last few weeks of the Championship...

Off topic but I have a feeling that the CCC will be a tough league next year

With Boro likely to come down and Leicester coming up. Add to that perenial yoyos WBA and a stronger Hull

It will be extremely tough next season JTC, it is pretty tough every year though really.

As for Ledley, Everton want him for 3.5 mill... they better offer more than that.

A bit pie in the sky, but what's the chances of Sir Alex giving Ronaldo the flick after their contre temps in the past two games?
Then he can keep Tevez, someone who seemingly wants to be a team player?

Fergie has a long history of showing players the door if they dont follow his orders or start believing they are bigger then the club (Beckham, Keane, Ince etc)

However i can only see United let Ronaldo go if the player states his desire to leave for Madrid. His (and the clubs) achievements since returning from the 06 World Cup have been phenomenal and that may mean having to put up with the occasional acts of petulance.

I didnt see the game but have read that the United leaders advised him that his outburst in the Man Cty game was not good enough and that he worked alot harder then usual without the ball against Wigan.

I only mentioned it as I saw on the highlights of the Wigan match that Ronaldo skied a ball across the bar and then Fergy went off, flapping his arms around like a demented airport traffic controller on the sidelines. Ronaldo looked at him and fired back a glare with the arms raised in the Jesus Christ pose, as if to say "what else could I do". Fergy's face was red and he was almost apopleptic.

the talk seems to have started between wenger and fergie, with wenger saying he is all out to stop fergie winning the title. ahh memorys from a few years ago when wenger and fergie were at each others throats for a few years when the title switched between the 2 clubs for a few years.

Grrrrr - we don't deserve to stay up!
Thankfully, the program for the last round dictates we will.
Hull couldn't be Man U could they?

I'm predicting the Toon will get a draw with Villa to survive.
Cats will lose to Chelsea.
Hull will lose to United and they'll go down.

With the CL Final not far away, Man U could well rest the likes of Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez, Vidic etc mate ;)

Although even then I'd still tip Man U lol
