Pretty composed stuff by Lampard to net three penalties in a row, gotta give the twat credit for that. Good work for West Ham to hold the russians to a point, it really should be a 6 pt lead at the top for them....

And Drogba still encroached for the third effort.

It looked as if it was mostly West Ham players who encroached to me - for the first spot kick anyway.

The crazty thing is, that if ref's applied the rules to the letter, ie the keeper not moving until the ball is kicked, the keeper not being allowed to come off is line, the encroaching and the taker not being allowed to change stride, then there would be a dozen re-takes everytime

well before the all mighty arsenal supporters keep crying, I will say chelsea we're fortunate to get the penalty. <<<<<<<<<There you happy now!!!! news just in Lampard is going to retake the penalty, all the other players have been sent to surry so as not to encroach this time.
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

Was mike dean the ref
He has given almost twice as many penalties than any others epl ref so I guess he was just keeping his numbers up

Yeah Mike Dean was the ref, the game was actually quite boring with the 2 penaltys being the only bits of excitment.

After last year carling cup semi 2nd leg, I'd say you're on a safe bet

Incidentally I was thinking it was a bit like a game between whufc 1st team and whufc reserves only the 1st team played in blue ;)
