Good win for United, so far all the challengers have dropped points so for us to capitalise with early wins is crucial. Generally dominated play and the only worry was De Gea's howler to give West Brom a sniff. Job done though, move on

Getting a keeper is always a scary time.

It would be interesting to see how many keepers UTD have had since Schmeichel.

From memory since Schmeichel Utd have used:

Bosnich, Taibi, Barthez, Howard, Van Der Sar and now De Gea.

There have been a few backups that get the odd run in the carling cup as well but those are the blokes we have brought in as our no.1 Keeper.

Pretty happy / lucky to come away from West Brom with the 3 points. Utd looked rather shaky at the back (even before the injuries) and its pretty obvious that teams are going to do their best to physically work over De Gea – will be interesting to see how he copes.

A few positives tho, I was very sceptical of the Ashley Young purchase but he looked real good last night - Seems to work well with Rooney. Cleverley looks all class – good in tight spaces and never gives the ball away, exactly what we were missing last season. And finally Wayne Rooney’s new plugs are coming along nicely…should be looking like Andy Carroll by Christmas.

What about Tony Coton, Raimond Van de Gouw, Andy Goram, Roy Carroll, Ricardo, Tomas Kuszczak, Ben Foster and Rachubka? All of these guys started in a league game for memory.
Lastly dont forget Nicky Culkin's 1 minute of an EPL match.

I forgot about Ben Foster... and of course Roy Carroll - those were dark days when we relying on the drunken, gambling Irishmen between the sticks..!!

All the others tho were clearly second choice. But lets hope we dont have to go through those sorts of names again.

Although second choice, Van de Gouw and Kuszczak probably started in over 30 games each which is not bad when you consider that about 8 or 9 guys on that list would have that combined. Reckon 4 or 5 had 5 or less games

Thats him. Played 2 or 3 games for United. Leeds would have to be about his 12th club, reckoned after he left us he went to Charlton but was loaned out to 4 or 5 clubs in one season.

City 4-0
Swansea embarassed by City in 2nd half. 0-0 at half time.
Only early days but the promoted sides look way out of their depth already. City should have won by a dozen, QPR look ordinary and the jury is still out on Norwich who played a fellow relegation candidate in Wigan

Cesc Fabregas has offically signed for Barca.

Reading the articles it states that there is a 200million payout clause for him to move. Who gets this money? Arsenal or Cesc?

The 200m buy out clause is for Cesc's new contract at Barca meaning if another club wants him before his Barca contract is up they have to fork out the cash. i hear 5m of the transfer fee is coming out of Fab's own salary, obviously he was hellbent on getting to Barca this year. If Nasri goes aswell Arsenal will struggle to stay in the top 4. Wenger needs to splash the cash now and bring in reinforcements.

it seems the transfer is starting to get nasty with fabregas saying a few words about the club.

Its funny what people think of things once they can speak their mind with no issues. Yes we have some issues in certain areas but no need for him start this.

All he needs to say is, i enjoyed/hated my time at Arsenal and i wish the club all the best....not other things
