You still have to come to Turf Moor yet bud. :D

Should not much matter by re an automatic promotion for us and possibly you lot as well - given the up and down form of Derby and QPR.

We have a number of what you would say are very winnable games before we go to Turf Moor as is the case with your draw. A game in hand on Derby and a 15 point gap at present which could / should blow out to 18 would make it near impossible to miss out on promotion - you would think?

Mind you the more you win is one step closer to a loss but so far all going swimmingly!

A reasonable cluster of games coming up til the end of the season for Leicester from the day we play you lot on the 29th March - 4 games in 11 days could take it's toll?

Sat 29/3 Burnley A
Tue 1/4 Wigan A
Fri 4/4 Sheff Wed H
Tue 8/4 Brighton H
Mon 14/4 Reading A
Sat 19/4 QPR H
Tue 22/4 Bolton A
Sat 26/4 Huddersfiled A
Sat 3/5 Doncaster H

Another 3 points away from home and the Foxes lead cut by another 2. Might be interesting by the time Leicester come to Turf Moor

No Ings for 3 weeks and Trippier for 6. Barnes has slotted in though scoring 1 and having another saved at point black range. His goal came from a great cross by another new boy in Chris Baird who looks a handy stand in for Trips

Was nervous after hearing we had lost the best right back in the division as well as the divisions leading marksman and player of the year but it looks like the claret and blue bulldozer keeps rolling on

What out otr ;)

Clarets beat Doncaster 2-0 whilst Leicester only manage a draw at home to lowly Yeovil and not until the 90th minute at that.
QPR beat Wigan to go 3rd 10 points behind Burnley whilst Derby, Reading and manager less Forest all lost.
7th is now 22 points behind Burnley with only 24 points to play for so we need 2 more points to guarantee at least a play off spot.

Foxes are now only 3 points ahead and 2 goals better off. A 2-0 win to the Clarets will see them go top on Saturday as we are the match of the day and an early kick off to satisfy the sky cameras. Leicester still have a game in hand but lose against us on Saturday and that will be 3 games without a win and only a comeback win to free falling Blackpool in 4 games.

I know OTR that I'm getting ahead of myself :D

Poor performanes in our last 2 games and both where we had plenty of chances to take maximum points. Still lots to play for and looks like title decider Sat. Burnley no doubt the form side of the Championship at present however we are unbeaten in 18 and still top of the league so no reason to fear the clarets. Last time we drew on the two in a row we won the next 4.

Clarets missing 3 key players for the live televised clash with Leicester.
Top Goal scorer Ings
The divisions best attacking right back Trippier
Midfield play maker Marney who picked up a two match ban for 10 yellows

Going to be a tough on. Not quite a title decider yet OTR. The foxes have a game in hand no matter what the result although a loss on the back of 2 lucky draws and you might say there is a Leicester wobble. I'd say there is more pressure on Burnley though with QPR having what looks on paper an easy day.

A very good win by the rampant foxes over a clearly under mannned Burnley. A quality finish by Nugent and a cracker from Chris Wood has us back 6 clear from Burnley with a game in hand. 19 on the trot unbeaten!

Bad luck JTC but I am sure it will be the Clarets going up with us.

Bugger
Vokes injured after 5 mins was a killer. That and the bloody referee who seemed determined not to do us any favours.
1st goal was a shocker. 4 defenders and no one made a tackle.

Then there was a double handball in the box which in any other game would have been a penalty, but do we get it ? Tosser
2nd goal was a great shot from Woods. Shsme about the push on Duff immediately before which, as you would expect, went unpunished.

No complaints with Leicester. Better team in the day. Quicker to the ball, faster I the tackle and the pass but we did make them look better than they were. FFS this was the same team who skanked a point against Yeovil last week.

Fortunately the damage was not as bad as it could have been with Blackpool and Bolton both doing us a ours with draws.

9 points in it
7 games to go
Goal difference is worth a point to the Clarets
QPR to play Foxes

We need 9 more points

Maybe a legit claim for handball against James but the ref should have paid the first push on Schlupp where he was clearly pushed under the ball and had no idea where the ball was when it hit his arm accidently so the no call and resulting free was fair. However reading your post and quotes from your Manager there is no mention of the non call re penalty for Vardy in the first half - clearly had his arm held. Read a few Clarets fans forums and the overwhelming consensus is you got away with one there.

Also not read too many complaints re the Wood goal, Duff was too soft under the challenge but it still took a hell of an effort to control the ball and blast it home. That was payback for "Knocky's" effort that rattled the bar from 25 yards!

Anyhow despite Burnley being unlucky with missing players and injuries we were the better team all game and we did what we had to and that was to win comfortably against our nearest challenger despite their lineup - you can only play against the team that lines up on the day.

I think I said in my post that the Foxes were the better team all day and seem to want it more
Losing Vokes after 5 mins was a shocker too.

I guess yesterday highlights the difference between the haves and the have nots. We have no depth so losing 3 of our best players before the game and Vokes after 5 mins, we had no striker on the bench. The game was effectively over from then

As for Vardy, dirty little **** he is, that kind of stuff happens all day. I could come up a dozen penalties for holding and pushing for every corner for every game. Glad you acknowledged the penalty shout for hand ball thought.

Not sure how bad Vokes' knee was but it didn't look good. Marney is back after Watford and both Trippier and Ings should be back after Barnsley so should be business as usual.

Fortunately all those below are playing like crap and with only 7 games to go something extraordinary would need to happen now for us not to be joining you next year.

You can do us a favour though and shove it up Harry

My 1st and 2nd fav teams into the premiership? Dare I say it

Well we can agree to disagree all day but the hold on Vardy was a poor non call and a penalty all day every day.

Results all season have helped us at times as they have to a lesser degree for Burnley as well. It would be a travesty if both sides didn't go up automatically. Can't see either falling over now especially given the up and down form of the chasing pack.

PS Don't suppose the match day mag is in the post? :-)
