Bergkamp

I'd turn gay for that bloke.

Favourite ever Dutch player (although van Persie is catching up).

From the FA Cup thread:

Will miss the next 4 matches

Wooooohoooooooo!!!! FA actually grew a pair of kahooooona's!

This is massive news for Spurs in the context of our challenge. Kompany will now miss Spurs visit to (Middle)Eastlands, which shapes as a massive game in the context of the title race. Citeh will also be without to Toure's, so will effectively be without their 1st choice CB pairing.

While us spuds will also be without Adebayor (Harry, hurry up and Sign Cavani or Berbatov!!!), we do have injury concerns of our own, with old biscuits Ledley King having done a hammy, Gallas nearing a letter from the queen and Dawson only just recovering from a 4 manth lay off.

Anyhoo, I should just worry about beating Everton tonight, as we have a shit record against them at the Lane in recent years (my first EPL game was a 3-1 loss and also saw us lose the following year).

COYS!!!

Pretty surprised to see it was upheld. There wasn't a lot in the tackle really and definitely not worth 4 games but that's what you get for collecting reds I guess. Good news for United though, January is shaping up to be a huge month with the ACN also taking place. No Kompany or Yaya leaves quite a huge hole for those rich bastards.

I think Duce summed it up well in another post, but this was a clear red. This type of challenge HAS to be a red. It's nit OK to fly in a million miles an hour, studs up, feet off the ground and get away with it just cos the other player didnt get hurt.

It HAS to be a red to prevent tye challenge in the first place and eliminate any chance of someone being hurt.

(can u tell i've had my leg snapped in half in a tackle?)

You know, nothing quite **** me off like promoted clubs sacking their manager for not winning the league in their first year up.

WTF is wrong with the way the hoops have gone this year?

From the Telegraph:

Neil Warnock has lost his job as manager of Queens Park Rangers after the club’s owners decided he was not the right man to keep them in the Premier League, it is understood.

FFS - HE WAS GOOD ENOUGH TO GET YOU TIGHT BUTTED PRICKS THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!
Wanna win the leage, buy some ******* players, don't sack your manager. ****.

Yeah reckon your right, the first year is about staying up.
Never really rated Warnock though and I feel they should have done better with the squad they have.
Norwich and Swansea are miles better off with worse squads.

Not sure Mark Hughes is going to make a lot of difference.

Hughes has already stated that he'll require £30m to bolster the squad.
If I was in the QPR chairman's seat I'd be saying "Hold on Mark. Before we spend millions, demonstrate to us that you can apply some skillful management strategies to generate improvement in the current side. If you do that and we comfortably avoid relegation I'll back you in the transfer market for next season"

A good manager would be comfortable with that.
