A bit obscure, bit silverware is silverware I guess, and going by the fight (or b!tch-slap fest) that happened in last seasons final, clubs do care about it when it gets to the pointy end.

Results from the Quarter finals:

Everton 2 d West Ham 1
Arsenal 3 d Blackburn 2 (extra time)
Tottenham 2 d Man City 0
Cheslki 2 d Liverpool 0

The semi final draw took place last night and sees the following matches played over 2 legs with the team named first to host the first leg:

Chelski v Everton
Arsenal v Tottenham

Would have been great to see Liverpool get through and have Merseyside and North London Derbies to decide the finalists, but not to be after Crouch's brain explosion. Still, 3 North London derbies over the next month!!!! I'll be paying whatever it takes to get in to one of the Carling Cup ties. COYS!!!

DA you only like it this year as it's probably the only thing that the Spurs are capable of winning...

I liked it last year too until the same stage and the same fixture which went horribly wrong....2-0 up against the Gooners only to be overhauled by Wengers little boys  . Things will be different this year!
