The CCC playoff's 2008

Postby johntheclaret » Mon May 05, 2008 3:34 am

Hull City will play Watford
Bristol City will play Crystal Palace

1st leg ties to be played next Saturday and Sunday.

On current form I would go for a Hull v Palace final with Palaces' (in particular Warnock's) experience seeing them through.

Bristol City just don't have the consistency lately and Watford are very lucky to still be there after denying Wolves a palyoff berth by a single goal.

Cracking goal from BC last night, not sure who it was. But it had it ball length, swerve, power and of course was a goal!

Yep in the 91st minute too - one of the goals of the season in anyone's league.

David Noble scored the cracker for Bristol City. And as drebin says in injury time. The look on the faces of the Palace fans behind the goals...shock! I know a few Palace fans who may have put their foot through the tv with that goal.

Not if they lose Tuesday he won't...

They are in good shape to get through though...

JTC or anyone ? Do away goals count as double if goals are even after second leg ?

Leeds were given a lifeline though, their goal came in the 5th minute of injury time I think. Hopefully Carlisle can put them away at home.

Bristol City vs QPR is tomorrow morning I believe.

That's from the heart SJABC.

Personally I would much rather Leeds back in the CCC. Big club, big away following, much beeter for BFC financially to have 5,000 Leeds supporters than 50 Carlisle ones. Much better for the atmos too.

I can see the point there JTC, but there's a forum I post on (Talking Carlton  ) and there is a thread on Leeds and the fight to get back up. All they can say is how screwed over they are etc etc.... :-({|= :-({|=

If they accepted it and stopped whining, then yeehaa carn the Whites, but until then
