QPR, just like we did back in the 90's.

He's now the most expensive English striker ever in total gross transfer fees. Stupid that is.

We're selling Bent and buying Crouch and deluding ourselves that it's a step forward.

If we can pull in Bassong it will be a touch better.

Get Joe Cole in and we'll be in flavour country.

Naughton and Walker are both outstanding young talents. Attacking full backs, with plenty of pace. Couple od good buys there DA

To be fair DA, I rate Crouch far more than I rate Bent and if you can pick up £14m from Sunderland, I think Harry has done a good bit of business. If you have a good crumbing forward, Crouch will feed him plenty and has that abilty to hold the ball up and find the running midfielder.

I wouldn't be knocking him too much ate. He might not be a Torres, but he creates a lot more goals than Fernando ever will

I'll be happy if we sign Bassong and like I said, if Arry can snatch Joe Cole, it will be on.

Done

Halfway there.

Pull in Joe Cole or Ashley Young and the Yids will be on the march.

By all accounts, Spurs have made a 14m take it or leave it offer for Joe Cole. We've also bid 22m for Ashley Young who wants to come, but MON is pissed big time about it all.

COYS!

The goal of the season competition can be called off now.

Benni Assou-Ekotto with an absolute screamer after a Huddlestone free kick. Absolute rocket into the far top corner.

Ohhhhh when the Spuuurrrrrrssssssssss...........

Gooooo marching innnnnnnnnn.......

Let's hang on now lads.

Keano very disappointing - 3 clear chances, all fluffed. Still, happy with that lead at half time! COYS!

Not sure it won't be bettered this year, but top shelf hit by Assou that's for sure, Reds lucky to be just the one down at the break and will need to make some sort of change because they didn't look at all threatening in the first half.

Spurs look very organised at the back, have the creativity of Modric in the middle and plenty of weapons up front, looking pretty lethal at the moment.

That was magic. Absolute magic.

Why on earth did Rafa put up with Babel doing his best impression of an invisible man for 70 mins, when Benayoun was pulling splinters out his coit? Benayoun looked very dangerous when he came on.

Silly mistake by Gomes getting caught out of position for the pen. No mistakes by Gerrard.

But it was a great fightback by Spurs to score 3 mins later via Bassong. What a great pickup he's going to prove.

I think Spurs bossed it for probably 80 mins with Liverpool pressing hard and looking dangerous in the last 10.

Well done Spurs. Now for Hull on Wednesday.

saw today modric broke his leg. be interesting to see if this affects them at all. from what i remember, when the non big 4 teams lose a decent player, their winning form goes downhill. i think this happened to aston villa last year. dont take my word tho.
looking at their squad tho, and their team looks very good.

Great after match interview with Giggs. great ambassador for Man U, the EPL and Football in general.

Asked if he still practiced free kicks as much as he used to, replied, even more now that Ronaldo has gone, as he used to take them all. Said a few other things but it was his manner and persona that I am talking about. Great lad who has never lost his head.

On the match, i think that United showed Spurs just how far they still have to go.

NB, is it me or has anyone else noticed how much Jenus looks like Will Smith :) Funnily I watched Hancock last night

Without question. Spurs were bossed from the second minute to the final whistle. In all honesty, we were very lucky not to go down 5, 6 or 7-1.

Last night it was back to what being a Spurs fan is all about.

You could always swap for last seasons start mate ;) Modric is a big, big loss. they say that one man doesn't make a team but Spurs were definitely missing something last night. Even though Man U were back to thier best. What a difference rio and Vidic make.
