Liverpool and Spurs bid for Loic Remy

Image

Liverpool bid for Remy after being alerted of his availability following reports of interest from West Ham and Tottenham, with the 23-year-old French international preferring a move to Anfield according to the Liverpool Echo.

It is said that Hodgson had decided to move quickly in order to beat the two London clubs to the signature of a player who scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 for OGC Nice last season.

OGC Nice's chief executive Patrick Governatori claims both Liverpool and Tottenham have tabled bids of between 14.5 million and 15.5 million euros but it would appear Remy prefers a move to Merseyside.

“It will be a choice between two clubs with big futures," Remy reportedly said at a training session. “I have a slight preference for a prestige club like Liverpool, even though Tottenham are also very, very interesting.”

“Nothing has been decided. Wherever I play, I'll have to fight and work hard to win my place.”

What a disrespectful turd. I hope he goes to Liverpool and rots

SUNDERLAND EYE IRELAND SWOOP

Sunderland have confirmed their interest in midfielder Stephen Ireland but feel his lofty salary means he could be out of the club's reach.
Ireland has been one of Manchester City's most consistent performers in recent seasons, although the vast number of stars in the club's squad restricted him to just 16 league starts last term.
