City lose 2-1 at home to Aldershot. Normal service has been resumed ... Booed off at half time at the first game of the season... :(

Though this report suggests some hope that this year will be different from last...

Attention now turns to the 'West Yorkshire derby' with Leeds at Elland Road on Tuesday night in the first round of the Carling Cup.

I'm sure you're all waiting with bated breath for the weekend match report, who would have thought that at my new job I would have to actually work... :D

Well we had a solid if unspectacular draw at Oxford United... 1-1

Match Report - http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/sportbcfc/9194874.Bradford_City_s_fox_in_box_rocks_Oxford/

Tonight the boys play Accrington Stanley... fingers crossed for the first win of the season... [-o<

Nope - done by a goal from a bloke debuting on loan from Burnley!

Cracking little ground at Accrington Stanley; the playoff semi there last season was on TV. Love those little shelter shed stands.

I like Accys ground too Jase. Always used to go there when they were in the non leagues. It's tough for them too being sandwiched between B4st4rds and Burnley. We help them out every year with a pre-season friendly which is probably their biggest gate every year.

I admire Peter Jackson for resigning as manager. He's put the team's interests ahead of his own and given them a chance to get their season back on track before it's too late. Things have started badly and he's had the honesty to recognize this. Full marks to him!

Too often, managers and coaches hang on even though it is blindingly obvious that they are not getting the best out of a team.

and City welcom Michael (oops sorry), Phil Parkinson as new manager...

Had spells at Colchester, Charlton and Hull... Welcome Phil and good luck (you will need it, just to survive the Chairmen)

City are playing Sheffield Weds tonight in some tin pot lower leagues cup competition...

Have also signed a new winger, released by Charlton at the end of last year, and are also in for a Charlton striker... interesting...

Solid draw over the weekend against the Might of Morecombe...

Though did wait to score until the 93rd minute. All praise to Ross Hannah... the fox in the box....

So the new manager Parky is undefeated in his role so far ;)

Lets hope it continues.

Another stoppage time equaliser; this time against Bristol Rovers.

Results like this make a big difference over the course of a season.
Late goals are a sign that the lads are working right to the finish and it must be very encouraging for supporters.

Indeed it is, we may be in the depths of the 4th division and about 16th in the table but there is a sense of excitement and optimism around the place which has long since been gone.

Here's the report from the game on the weekend...

Big game tonight against high flying Port Vale...

C'mon the Bantams...
