RIP

has died overnight at 78

The name may not immediately ring a bell but if you ever listened to the BBC broadcasts he would go through all the results from EPL and SPL all the way down to the conference leagues and the tone of his voice was always pleasant to listen to as he rattled through the scores in a tone akin to singing.

Yep. The voice of the BBC.
You almost knew the result just because of the tone of his voice as he was reading the result.
Never shortened a club name.
Never just Tottenham or Spurs. Always Tottenham Hotspur, Crewe Alexandra etc
Very professional and will be missed RIP
