DID THE RIGHT TEAMS WIN THE EPL + FA CUPS ?

Manchester win the EPL after several contentious ref decisions throughout the season
MAN UTD beat CHELSEA by about 6 points
The result could have been different had these decsions been 50/50 instead of
seemingly appearering to be 90/10
In the matches I saw the penaltys went MU way most of the time
So much so that Chelseas hierachy made an issue of this in the media

CHELSEA should have won the EPL ???

Then the FA CUP
CHELSEA 1 MAN UTD 0
The reverse MU were denied a goal that appeared 90/10 in thier favour
Chelsea end up winning

MU should have won the FA cup ???

I have posted a few months ago that perhaps technology should be used in
soccer to determine penalties etc
Since then we have had more controversy

TIME we had the 3rd umpire ???

wrong MAL

the right team one the EPL, despite what Tommy Smith kept on saying on ESPN.

last night i thought Man Utd probably had slightly more control of the play, but not that much, and Chelsea deserved to win, because they made the most of the opportunities.

i think the results went the right way, and MAL stop talking through your wallet!!!!!

I backed CHELSEA to win the FA CUP and felt extremely lucky to collect

OK MT79 if the MU goal was allowed and led 1-0 who would have won ????

both Giggs and Ronaldo maybe Rooney had their chances to get a goal but didn't

Drogba on the other hand had an opportunity and took it as much as I hate Chelsea they were the ones that took that opportunity and won.

Man Utd played the best football in the Premiership this season and deserved to win the League.

You are only making an issue out of it because you had money on the Russians.

Inb answer to your questions Mal,
Yes
No

Dunno how much EPL you get over there, but can assure you, Man U won the EPL on merit. As for penalties, and Chelski complaining, that was just Moroniho media seeking clap trap. Chelski actually had 4 more panalties through the year than Man U.
I am not a fan of either, but from a nuetral perspective, Man U played the better football, and were just too good. Chelski lost the EPL, Man U didn't win it. In house squabbles 2 months before the end of the season, cost the Stamford Bridge outfit the title. They just dropped too many points. Moroniho fell out with Roman the Russian, who was accused of interfering with team tactics too often. Injuries didn't help the cause, but at the end of the day, Chelski have too many individual stars this year.

I have watched most of the games played by Man U and Chelski this season and United are definitely the better team, winning with plenty in the tank, whereas Chelski have lost that flair of the last couple of years and only stayed with MU for so long, by grinding out dull 1 - 0 wins, sometimes with the help of the ref. Chelski have two of the biggest cheats in the EPL (dare I say Europe) in Robben (apt name) and Joe Cole. Their disgraceful antics have won many free kicks around the box, from which Chelski have scored.

Re the FA cup, there is no doubt it was a goal. I have seen it about a dozen times from all angles and in slo mo. Czec definitely pulled the ball to his body and over the line. Like I said in another thread, you can't blame the ref or the linesman as their views were both obscured by United players. Even John Terry said in his aftermatch interview, said it was a goal. The chelski keeper, when asked outright, said only his body crossed the line.

Having said that, the last two games between these two have been utter garbage. Both 0 -0 draws (excluding the extra time goal) and with little or no excitement. Poor advert for the EPL. (Englands answer to the AvFL). You would be better off watching CCC, if you want real passion, and real football. (Englands answer to the SANFL)

Absolutely right RM. To be fair, Yeovil were by far the better team in the 1st leg even though they went down 2 - 0.
Watched both games, better atmos at Forrest and went all the way. Exciting stuff and put that waste of time and TV sports space between our so called top two, to shame.

EPL = AvFL = Fake
CCC= SANFL = Real

Enough said.

I didnt see every game so will accept your version that the best team won the EPL
It was purely coincidental that the games I watched MU play that they got favourable
match defining decisions.
As for the FA cup , Chelsea got a match defining decision go their way

Think over a season, it balances itself out. You get the rub of the green one week and sweet sod too the next.

United have played some pretty good stuff this year whereas Chelski have ground oud victories. They haven't been the same force they were last year. Injuries, and Moroniho falling out with Roman the Russian haven't helped.

Collectively, they are still yards ahead of the rest though. News is the the "special one" is staying now so maybe the club will be a little more settled as I am sure the headlines they have been getting, must have some effect on them.
