Some interesting questions of legal liability arise out of having an unmoderated yet semi-public forum, I guess all this sites owners must have agreed to it though. Let's hope for Dutchy and Dissident's sake it never gets tested.

Easy to say when you have been invited into the no rules forum and can float between that and the moderated boring main site with the rest of us kill-joys comfortable in the knowledge that you can retreat into your private group and say whatever the fk you want about whoever the fk you want.

Why can't we all just say what we want with no rules?

Well sorry mate. I assumed you were in. It's not about me being insecure about being abused in there. I am sure the lounge has much more to talk about then me, tonight excepted (hi Centurion ). I am speaking for any poster out there who inadvertantly crosses an arsehole leading to a free for all in the lounge. Or not even crossing an areshole. Just any normal poster who happens to get LOLed at in the lounge because of any reason.

Members have their own private forums/lounge for off-topic posts, and yes, lots of threads highlighting the dumb posts by standard users

The members section is now the only reason why I use that website...

I think the Mods are spewing, because they don't like the fact that regular posters are able to discuss various things in private, which is exactly what the Mods have been doing for years in their private rooms. I reckon they should all get over it.

Fair point. You do realise the moderators are the ones who have volunteered their time over many years so this place, this site which we all enjoy has not turned into.....hmmm, some sort of Areshole Lounge?

Well i know for a fact that the Mods used to get stuck into me all that time in their private rooms and I know who the Mods were (I was told this by a Mod). Did you see me squeal like a little schoolgirl and make a big issue out of it?? No, because I couldn't give a toss. People need to lighten up a bit.
