The Mods room is pretty tame really. I'm close to crossing a line by writing about it's contents, but you've mostly got topics that deal with reported posts, edited posts, merging posts, moving topics etc.

I think the Mods are spewing, because they don't like the fact that regular posters are able to discuss various things in private, which is exactly what the Mods have been doing for years in their private rooms. I reckon they should all get over it.

I think, personally, that the posters originally invited have been more active on the main forums since the inception of the Lounge, and their posts have been nicer, having a venting forum (if you want to call it that) as well.
It allows posters to say exactly what they feel (in private), and keep the peace in the main forum, allowing a happier place for everyone...

Although I think you're being hugely melodramatic (and wrong) in that it will cause the end of the board if it ever looked like doing that it would be immediately stopped. Pure and simple.

Weve got pretty good experience in making subtle changes and additions to this site in order to make it bigger and better.

At the end of the day I and the other owners want what is best for the site overall to help it keep expanding and improving as it already has over a number of years.

That's good to hear. I have noticed different habits with other posters though who seem to be lounge members. The thing is we would all like the privelege of being able to say what we feel, do you agree? Why do you guys get this privelege and not the rest of us? You've got a gold pass that we don't have. As I said before, why can't we all post somewhere without rules? We would probably all feel better for the venting. A lot of my posts are edited and re-edited before posting to avoid repercussions. The freedom you guys have would be great!

That's why a low moderated (bay 13 style) forum we could ALL see and even post if we wanted (at our own risk knowing the rules are less strict) would seem a less divisive way to go. At least the rest of us would know who and what we are dealing with on the main board. As said, this forum could be off-limits to view by non-members of SAFooty. At least we would have the choice whether we went in the forum or not rather than feeling like we are being treated like kids who can't look at things in case we get upset or complain. If the rules say it is a low moderated forum and we view and post at our own risk then we go in with our eyes wide open.

Either that or we have a system where a member can either be part of the lounge or the main board but not both. That would be tough because Wedgie would then have to lock down the main board from general view by non-members.
