Moderators

Postby #hashtag » Sat Jan 19, 2013 11:43 am

This forum has a severe problem of 'power drunk' moderators. They seem intent on channeling every topic into a direction they are comfortable with, instead of letting free speech take its natural course.

This is probably an over compensation for their lack of power/control at home or in the workplace. I have witnessed this quite often throughout my journey in the corporate world, and let me tell you, these people get found out, and their career plateaus.

All I wanted to do was to wish every cricket community that is represented on this forum a Merry Christmas, and I found myself under attack from a moderator that will remain nameless.

Has anyone else encountered similar difficulties throughout their time on this forum??

We provide a forum that most agree is very well moderated for a place that gets over 20k views and 600+ posts per day.

A forum thats costs us over $100 per month, but costs you nothing to join and be part of.

In return all we ask is that you respect the rules of the site.

If you have any problems with any Moderators please PM me.

Moderating is much better than it used to be when there was 50 moderators.

Also helps when moderators understand the difference between taking the piss and trolling. Some moderators were a bit precious.

"I don't know why but usually if someone goes through and dumps a piece of irrelevant crap on every thread it gets removed. You've never even posted on this thread so I don't think it was going touch the hearts of too many.
You are probably better off grabbing your vegemite sandwich and sticking to your beloved ATCA thread, unless you have any PDCA discussion.

It would have been much appreciated to have had a Private Message from the moderators as to why my posts where taken off, instead of being publicly ridiculed. This to me once again has an unprofessional stench to it.

And by the looks of it, by the stong response, many others have had problems with the strangulation of the forums,

But it is good to see moderators on here answering queries, a small step in the right direction.
