Australian Ashley Callus has been disqualified in the first semi for breaking - to his credit he took it very well. However, he would be in a very strong position to lodge a protest after TWO swimmers false started in the second semi and were not disqualified. One of the false starters (South Africa's Roland Schoeman) has qaulified 4th for the final but either he should be disqualified of Callus reinstated. IMO Schoeman should be disqualied as it was a clear break.

How was Schoeman's interview post event, saying members of the crowd were carrying on like monkeys

Wow, just wow.

He should be thrown out of the games for those comments. That's worse than the 'Dickshit' comments.

Commentators have already been jumping to his defense, saying that he would never have meant anything racial

I knew there was a reason I was avoiding 10's coverage - pretty poor form to condone that sort of behaviour. The Foxtel commentators were up in arms about Schoeman's non-disqualification, and thankfully they chose not to interview the tool.

To add insult to injury Schoeman won silver in the 50m final - a medal that will be forever tainted IMO. Officals were completely unaware of Shoeman's comments, mistaking questions raised about his conduct with problem they've had with actual monkeys in the area  http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/com ... 5936210819

On a brighter note, Sullivan choked and finished 5th.

That's true - watching the swimming reminds me of The Simpsons episode when Homer's watching the 1984 Olympics, and the American swimmers race out to an unasailable lead. The shot then pans to the other swimmers struggling at the start of the pool and the commentator saying that some of the other swimmers are from countries that don't have swimming pools

Time for the last swimming event - the mens 4 x 100m IM relay. Scotland have come out in kilts - I hope they have something on underneath

Despite superchoker Eamon Sullivan being in the relay side, Australia won gold comfortably.

Channel 10 are being slammed for not showing Hooker's gold medal winning pole vault live

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/com ... 5937424566

Actually has anything been shown 'live' on 10 anyway?

Foxtel showed the event live.

Foxtel have been outstanding. 6 channels, 6 different things all on at once. None of this back and forth delayed crap. Can have all 6 channels on the screen at once. Outstanding coverage. TEN will probably win some award though much like Seven did with the Olympics in 2008 and Nine for the Winter Olympics this year.

Australia into the Netball Final. Beat England by ummm 6 or 7 goals. Weren't great, wanna play much better in the final if they want Gold.

India just won the 4 x 400 women's relay. We finished 5th. Pearson ran out of legs. She's now collapsed on the track. :?
