Flinders by 10-15 - all aboard the Chocolate Locomotive....
Onkas by 5-10 -
Na Fianna by 1-5

2 out of 3 last week aint bad.

In regards to the abuse coming from the sidelines, I couldn't hear from where I was standing but a certain Onkas waterboy seemed to be getting a little too over involved.....

Did he get involved in a scuffle like the Flinders waterboy the week before?

Good one Brock.....not sure what you saw but it looked as though the water boy you are referring to was breaking up the scuffle whilst the onkas water boy was verbally abusing the umpire on a number of occasions......Are we a bit bitter about the loss....

Brock is just telling it like it is Nev - and if i remember correctly the Flinders waterboy was involved in this scuffle just a few minutes after he had a go at another Taints player.... attempting to throw his water bottle at him! Lucky said waterboy throws like a little girl as the bottle traveled all of 2 metres - pretty petty yet funny stuff really! =))

Looking forward to Na Fianna and the grand final rematch this Sunday, heres hoping that cool change arrives in time!

Also i see the Wednesday night Gaelic7s schedule is on the website now, good to see a new team from the Blackwood footy club getting involved! They join the usual Gaelic7s suspects of the Angry Leprechauns, Surps, and Steve Irwin All-Stars, with State League clubs Saint Brendans, Onkas, Irish Australians, and Western Ireland also lodging teams.

I believe there may be an appeal submitted shortly to the national board and depending on that result there is talk of Della possibly getting other areas involved, but cant say too much at this stage.

In regards to the national appeal process I wouldn't think the state vice president would have anywhere near the influence he does in the state committee process. Lets hope there is an unbiased adjudication without the influence of personal vendettas against any individuals and some type of substantive evidence to back up thier "allegations"

hey nev what does it mean by getting other areas involved. from what i remember della started an all in brawl with blokes running off the bench to get envolved. pretty sure he got a red card then and that was in the last season he played. And his mates got told never to come back. but oh well good luck with that. I dont think u lads need him and have a good chance at it this year anyway.

Have to say last fridays game against na fianna got a touch heated but both sides kept there cool and both showed great respect at the end of the game. Thought the umpiring was a touch under par but it was even and that is all you can ask for. Na Fianna just reacted better then the goats. Great to see Tommy "the magnet" Javior get plenty of it friday. well done tommy keep up the good work.

Guess all will be revealed in good time. All we are hoping for is a fair hearing. From what I have been told, it appears that this is impossible in the state set up so looks as tho Daniel will have to lodge an appeal with the national board.

From what I have been told (but dont quote me on this because the association is yet to provide the club with a list of allegations) this incident you are talking about happened in a 9 a side game in 2003/4 and Della was not sent off.

Murderers get off lighter than a life ban, and players that hit umpires get 12 weeks, yep pretty consistent

Thought i'd chime in with some tips instead of getting involved in any 'conspiracys'

IA v Flinders - Flinders by 10-15, do I need to explain myself.
Mitcham v Onkas - Onka's by 5-10, coach Anto has been on facebook firing up the boys (possibly because they can only understand him in text format)& they should respond to beat Mitcham.
Na Fianna v St Brendans - i'll pick my boys Na Fianna by 1-5 in this match. It should be a good match for a reverse result in last years granny. Should be a good match with some good match ups like Motorboat Jolly v Zaluski, Hill v Zaluski, Javor v Zaluski, Fay v Zaluski, Bryant v the sun & Gino's fist v Bruno's face

Flinders by 5-10 - we might struggle with some notable omissions
Onkas by 5-10 - Onkas too experienced but a one man side, Mitcham need to stick a tag on gabe to have any chance
St Brendans 0-5 - Too much run for Na Fianna in the hot conditions, lets hope st brendans dont hit the turps too hard sat night, def game of the round

Easily the funniest post ive read in a while. It will be interesting to see how Bryants match up goes during the warm up.This could be decisive to see if he is shaken or stirred...It took me a sec to work out the other match ups then i remembered reading something about all the new tops being Zaluskied. Will the real Zaluski make it one nilski.Sparkling Repartee Milko

Another idiotic moronic comment i heard on the weekend that did amuse me greatly was....
"Did you give them that free in front of goal just to ensure you got your tip and margin correct". This did amuse me a lot and i guess the multi million dollar industry that is gfha of sa footy tips i need to be very careful as i could come under federal investigation for doctoring of results in order to win **** all.

Cant agree with you there wristy...sounds like a top drawer piece of banter there from whom ever was responsible for it.

Looking forward to seeing how "St Nick" copes going against his old team. Coaching staff may bring Gino out of cotton wool just for 5 minutes....could be fireworks (but no land speed records)

Good on ya Nifty Nev. I'm a knob because I'm telling it how I saw it? :?
Waterboys shouldn't get involved in fights. They might end up making the team like that gridiron documentary featuring Adam Sandler.

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to this weeks games. Xavier Minnicon's forcast looks a bit more cunducive for fast exciting Gealic fooball for Sundays games, but it still could be pretty hot on Friday night.

Big time rumour flying round about a possible couple of legends returning to the ranks of Na Fianna this week...
Paul "Smudger" Smith and Taddy "The Wonder" Ponton both look set to make debuts. Smithy possibly starting in goals, whilst Tad will be giving us bite around the packs. Both would be very handy inclusions.

Waterboys, coaches, parents I have seen everyone get involved in punch up's at gaelic, Whilst our waterboy was a bit mouthy which is out of line, he broke up the fight and if I remember right it was the st Brandans players who ran in from all angles lost there heads and thus the game.....must be a footy thing cause in soccer anyone braking up a fight is the good guy...... some angry players out there, usually are the little ranga ones...hmmm
