Absolutely brilliant effort by Cadel, all by himself again, second day in a row, needs some fitter/faster/something team mates.

Amazing stuff by Cadel. Many other blokes in his position would have given up long ago. Even if he cracks on D'Huez, I am proud of the balls he has shown during this tour.

They've been saying that for quite a while now, every year the team gets stronger but still not strong enough... Just goes to show what CE can do with a half decent team, imagine if he had a team like Leopard Trek????

Watching some of the idiots in the crowd getting so close is bloody nerve-wracking. It must be extremely distracting for the riders...

Great stage and a very simple equation for tomorrow. 42km to go so cadel needs to make up just over 1 second a kilometer. would be confident after today.

So how does the time trial actually work? Every rider is completely by themself? Do they ever catch the rider in front? How long is the gap when they send each rider off? 1 min? 2 mins?

I have to say, so far Cadel has ridden the perfect tour. With I expect in normal circumstances he'd ride around 90 seconds or so faster in the time trial, he's got to be favourite. He's been here before, when Contador was an unknown most thought Cadel would take it form him but Schleck is a much more known quantity. Also, Schleck has worked much, much harder over the last 2 days than Cadel so if anything, that puts it even more into Cadel's advantage. It's now a straight fight. Cadel will win the time trial battle with the Schlecks, he'll take second pretty early on the road and make some sort of a statement. Those closest behind him are all going to lose time to him. Cadel might even win the ITT and stamp his authority on the race once and for all. They always say the winner is the strongest man. Cadel looks to me, to be clearly the strongest man.

What impresses and heartens me most of all is when Cadel fights one out with everyone else in the tour, he either wins or fights back to get onto even terms.
