Your PK is unbelievable. Carrying over from last season.

Our special teams are pretty bad. :(

Looked like another entertaining Washington v Pittsburgh game, Washington winning 3-2 in Overtime.

Great win for the Caps after being dominated by the Penguins.
In the 3rd period Pittsburgh led SOG 18-3, so very lucky to pick up the win.
As usual in this heated rivalry it was good to see a fight aswell

Standings after the first week

Winnipeg the only side without at least a point. A combination of playing 5 games and earning at least a point in each of those sees Pittsburgh lead the overall rankings.

In the offseason the Atlanta Thrashers were sold and moved to Winnipeg to become the Winnipeg Jets. Although the name 'Winnipeg Jets' makes a return to the NHL 15 years after the original Jets became the Phoenix Coyotes, all the history associated with the original Jets remains with the Coyotes.

Caps keep up their 100% record with a 2-1 win over Ottawa. Fairly dull game with the the score being 2-1 at end of 1st period and both sides shooting blanks in last 2 periods. Not a great home performance by the Caps against a Senators side that will finish near the bottom but its still a win.

The Jets missed a big chance for back to back wins. They led Toronto 3-1 in 3rd period but the Maple Leafs scored twice in 30 seconds to equalise and then they won the shootout after score was locked at 3-3 at end of OT

Caps maintain their perfect record with a 5-2 rout of the previously undefeated Flyers. Huge game on the weekend with the Wings visiting as they are now the only other side with a perfect record

Pittsburgh notch up another win, a 3-1 home victory over Montreal. That takes their record to 5-2-2.

The now face New Jersey on Sunday morning our time before playing the New York Islanders away and home next week. Wonder if they'll be as entertaining as the infamous fight night back in February!

I really wish the Caps would just lose. I might just have to wait until the playoffs...

Let the Caps win all they want in the regular season, because we all know what happens in the playoffs every year. A BIG CHOKE
