The NFL released its playoff scenarios Sunday and there are three ways the Bengals can secure their first Wild Card playoff berth since 1975:

They have to beat or tie the Ravens in next Sunday's 4:15 p.m. game at Paul Brown Stadium.

Or, the Jets would have to lose or tie in Miami and the Raiders would have to lose or tie their home game with San Diego.

Or, the Jets would have to lose and the Broncos would have to lose their home game with Kansas City.

All four games are rematches. The Ravens beat the Bengals, 31-24, in Baltimore on Nov. 20. The Broncos beat the Chiefs, 17-10, on Nov. 13 before Kansas City's quarterback problems. The Raiders beat San Diego in quarterback Carson Palmer's second start, 24-17, on Nov. 10. The Jets beat Miami, 24-6, on Oct. 17

Well done to Drew Brees on setting the all time regular season passing record breaking Dan Mario's record of 5084 yards.

Very classy man. San Diego made a mistake in letting him go!!!!

surly flynn gets a starting gig somewhere next year, with few teams wanting/needing a half decent qb

Some long playoff droughts have been broken:

49ers first playoff appearance since 2002 season
Detroit first since 1999
Houston first playoff appearance since their debut season in 2002
In between signatures .....

Will be very interesting to see who targets matt flynn during the off season. Surely after his performance against detroit teams will be interested in offering him a starting QB position?

Green Bay vs New England bowl with the packs taking it back 2 back is my prediction.

Pittsburgh and Baltimore is the only team from the AFC capable of causing an upset, where if anybody will knock the packs of their perch, Drew Brees and the saints are the team to do it from the NFC.
