Q. wrote:WTF were you blokes watching? Three subs, a TKO and an upset in the title fight. I enjoyed it anyway.
Marquardt looked like he was thinking about his next fight in the UFC rather than bothering to check Saffa's kicks.

Have to wait until Feb 19th for the test results.
Do you know if they changed legislation to allow for proper MMA rules in SA? Has always been that you couldn't land head punches if a fighter was grounded, which discouraged any regulated MMA shows in this state.

No doubt he's on TRT. Just a question of whether he exceeded the allowed Testosterone levels.
Let us know what you think of the local show tonight.

I really enjoyed it. It was produced and run really well/professionally. Very vocal crowd, the majority of Thebby Theatre was full except for some general admission seats at the back.
The fights were either C Class or B Class. C Class means they wear headgear and shin pads, and are not allowed to hit a grounded opponent (knees to the head may also have not been allowed). B Class means no headgear or shinpads, and hits to a grounded body were allowed, just not in the head.
I'll be back for their next show, as it's certainly cheaper than flying to Sydney for UFC shows.

One of my mates worked that show and said he loved it even though he didnt get the duke. I,ll deff be at the next one. Sounds like Coops is doing good work. He took a hell of a risk promoting it and im glad it went well.

Might have to join you two. Not a fan of no ground-and-pound, but hopefully with more exposure there could be a push for change in legislation.
