My mate just sent me a text to say he has set the alarm for 3.30am to watch Boston v Yankees. I'd be in that except I have to go to Clare for physio appt in morning and then long lunch at Skilly with my step daughter. I'll get games two and three and be grateful for that.

Happy with the amount of games being shown in opening week, four games today! Watched Giants v Dodger$, Kershaw pretty much untouchable and then opening the scoring with a homer to help his cause. Will be an interesting battle between those two this season

Bumgarner returns the favor back today by shutting out the dodgers.
As you said its going to be a very good battle between the Giants & Dodgers for the NL west.
Interesting to see how Lincecum goes tomorrow

After a fairly ordinary opening couple of days the Yankees are at 4-4 after starting 1-4.
Was really concerned as to where our runs would come from early in the season with A-Rod, Grandy and Tex missing for the first month. Have whipped the Tribe 11-6 and 14-1 in last 2 days so have found some runs.
Still think we will miss the postseason but you never know

You guys are feeling the effects of too many big names getting too old all at once. It was evident last year and more so this year I think. I'm hoping for a miracle at Fenway Park and think we could be the hot side this year. Dream on...

Only early in the season but does anyone seem that the scoring has increased a fair bit this year?
Would love to see the stats but seems to be a lot more scores of 10+ runs this year.
Wonder if this is due to the quality of the hitters or if pitching stocks are low.

All in brawl in the Codgers v Padres game.
LA pitcher Zack Greinke hit Carlos Quinton with a wild pitch, Quinton charged him and in the ensuing brawl Greinke had his collar bone broken. This seems to be a long standing feud, Greinke has hit him twice in the past and Quintos warned him what would happen if it ever happened again

Thought I'd put in this section about a movie called "42" about Jackie Robinson - starring Harrison Ford - that apparently is going to be released in Australia. Has been out in America for 2 months and on websites I've been looking at it says it's already out and on others can't see it's release date at all.

If anyone knows when it will be out, that would be appreciated.

Great news for baseball in Australia with opening day coming to Sydney in 2014

LA Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks are the two teams competing in a 2 game series.

ABL Members can get tickets until Tuesday before they go on sale to the general public on the 19th of June.
