Some massive news of movements in the SABL have emerged. with Tom Brice moving from Sturt to Melbourne to play with the Aces. Also Veteran Sturt Outfielder and slugger Dave Carter has moved from Sturt to Goodwood, with fellow Sturt Pitcher and Bite member Dakota Mitchell. Also Alexander Derhak, has returned to Woodville as their import and playing coach. Russell Hart from Henley is moving to Kensington to coach, he is also being joind By Wayne Ough from Glenelg and Braeden Carr a 17 year old from Henley.
Young Frick has taken the head coaching job at Adelaide, but what is probably the biggest move is Ron Harvey back to West Torrens to coach. Darren DR Roberts is returning to East Torrens to take the helm. Henley have picked up Kane Galloway and Steve yeatman to take charge of the senior squad and are trying to get Matt Smith from Woodville to sign with his brother from NSW. Matt Smith is currently playing in France with East Torrens import from last year Owen there are reposrts they could join up with a superstar import outfielder at Henley. Trent Hancock from Henley looks set to Join either Port Adelaide or Northern Districts to coah either B Grades. Goodwood have also picked up another gun pitcher from NSW Olsen who clocks in over 90mph.

Love a bit of ball.
Will be going out when I'm home to watch the Eagles...
Love the "ting" noise when bat hits ball.

Played a fist full of winter ball games but missed the footy too much so gave that away. Nothing too serious in the winter ball anyway.
Mrs.Boon is now on the PADBC commitee so expect to be involved a little more.
Junior Boon playing U17s and I'll have a hit with him in the Div 7 North, unless he plays a higher level of seniors.

LOL, we play on the main diamond. We're the pre-game entertainment for the odd Divvy 1 game.
Fond memories of the main diamond, ran (?) and in-field home run last year. Well, they said it was a triple with an error, but I know the truth.

The AGM was an interesting night last night, there are a few changes happening in the league, juniors now 13,15,17,19's and there is a committee formed headed by former bay pitcher thompson to take the league into the future. They said they wanted to expand the number of A Grade teams but at this stage the depth isnt there to do that. There will be a new criteria to play A Grade which will be rolled out probably 2014/15 season. so there may be a 10 team Div 1 competition possibly. MLB have backed the ABL for another 5 years also which can only be a good thing. All in all a record timed AGM by Benno for his first one in the chair going for 36 minutes.

Also Trent Hancock has left Henley and Grange for the Northern Districts Head Job, apparently for a hefty offer...

you would think with all the money kensignton have, that their ground would be better, must just spend it on coaches and players????

they are trying to make it better but the council wont let them, instead of northern districts paying you 10k to coach perhaps they could have bought a decent side, well they will probably beat Henley and Grange still...
