Today was amazing. Buckets of coronas at The Lion, AWESOME game and atmosphere, off to the Birk for food (and a couple more drinks) post game and then a big ol' nap.

About 80% of the people there had Pats jerseys on. The tension during the Seattle drive was intense. Then the place erupted when Russ threw the pick.

I wanted Seattle to win, but it was a really good game, so im happy with the result.

SheepyBowl certainly brings them out. Social media is a flood of over opinionated wankers who don't give two shits about the game and become experts one day a year. Some of the crap I have read today made me want to unfriend clowns. If you barracked for Seattle or New England ythen fair enough go your hardest but I did not know one person who did before today and now I know 350-400 roughly I would say. I bloody hate sheep

I dont mind Russ. I think its shit that its gonna be partly on him.

It was Pete Carrols call not to run it, and Russ made the right pass. The receiver attempted a lazy catch, and the rookie DB made an amazing play to pick it off.

I think a fair few people appreciated that vision when they showed Sherman.

Really stupid decision not to run it. Carroll will have a long offseason, and Im sure they will mention it a lot next season too. This will haunt him for the rest of his career. If they win another one, people will be saying it should've been 3, yadda yadda.

Now the long wait to May to see the Draft, then the long wait to see some preseason games. Worst time of the year right now.

JARRYD Hayne has secured an NFL contract with the San Francisco 49ers.
The former representative rugby league star announced his deal at a media conference in Sydney on Tuesday, five months after he quit the NRL to chase his dream of playing American football in the NFL.
The contract is a big step forward in Hayne’s bid to crack the NFL, but is no guarantee.
He will have to hit the ground running, but said the 49ers had offered a better chance than the other teams who had showed interest — Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks.
“There’s a 100k guarantee over 20 weeks,” he said.
“There wasn‘t going to be a guarantee with the other franchises. With what they’ve done and the success they’ve had transitioning players that’s why we decided to go.
“(After) 15 or 20 weeks they’ll see what I’m about and suss me out. After those 15 or 20 weeks, that’s when they can cut me and there’s no guarantee.”
The contract gives Hayne a spot in the 49ers’ 90-man practice squad.
“It feels surreal,” Hayne said.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

From ninemsn :

The NFL has fined the Atlanta Falcons, stripped the organisation of a draft pick and suspended team president Rich McKay from the league's Competition Committee following the team's use of fake noise at home games.

In statement released on Monday, the league announced that the Falcons have been fined $US350,000 ($A451,409) and will forfeit their fifth-round selection in the 2016 draft. If the Falcons have multiple picks in that round, the highest selection will be forfeited.

The NFL noted throughout the 2013 season and into the 2014 season the Falcons violated league rules that state "at no point during the game can artificial crowd noise or amplified crowd noise be played in the stadium".

The league also said Roddy White, the team's former director of event marketing, was directly responsible for the violation and would have been suspended without pay for the first eight weeks of the 2015 regular season had he still been with the club. The Falcons fired him.

The league determined that Falcons ownership and senior executives, including McKay, were unaware of the use of an audio file with artificial crowd noise. But as the senior club executive overseeing game operations, McKay bears some responsibility for ensuring that team employees comply with league rules.

McKay can petition Commissioner Roger Goodell for reinstatement to the committee no sooner than J
