Thanks mate. I reckon Alaska Jnr might have a big game judging by what he's been doing at practice.
Nah not yet. I'd say we'll probably get one Saturday morning.

Jnr reckons that you are easily the most improved player from when the training started till now and will be very handy, so I will watch in anticipation.
I also have a long association with No 48 the red haired TE so should be good to watch all of it.
I also hear you may be off to the Bendigo league latter in the year?

48's playing DE. I don't actually think he's taken a snap at TE yet. Very handy, and very funny guy.

It's good to hear that. I can feel it when I'm on that everything I'm doing now is different to how I did it in club. Having a dedicated DB coach helps. A lot more direction than having just a head coach who's trying to coach 30 blokes at once.

I'm seriously considering playing for Bendigo starting in June. A few of them came over to play for the Spartans, so there's a fair few of us looking to return the favour. There will be some Spartans playing for Bendigo, and some playing for Melbourne Uni. (Both teams sent players over for us.)

He barely touched me. Pretty much because of my shithouse attempt at a leg tackle that did very little to slow him down.

A few months ago the Cleveland Browns signed Paul DePodesta to be their chief strategy officer.

Who is DePodesta you may ask? Well he (and arguably Sandy Alderson) started doing sabermetrics in MLB in the late 90's for the Oakland Athletics which spawned the book and movie "Moneyball". The Jonah Hill character was based loosely on him as he refused to be involved in the movie.

Will be interesting to see some of the playing personnel choices the Browns make in the next few years

For anyone interested, here is the highlights for the AGL game against NSW.

First win by an SA team in over 10 years.

PS. My only highlight on there is at 6:53. Not everyone can be as good as @Alaska Jr ;)

Thanks HH3 he is suffering now though, that period of 4 trainings each week and the hits, have caused some issues with the footy season.
However, he was glad he stuck it out for that win, that made it all worthwhile.
I think he may look to taking on this sport solely, the way footy is going, just need a longer season........perhaps Melb Uni next year.
As I mentioned to you previously great to see Andrew with the interception and TD at the end.

Yeah im heading over with some other Spartans boys to play for Bendigo while we wait for the GASA season to start.

I think a few of the better Spartans and Chiefs guys are also heading over to play for Melbourne Uni too.

Once I started gridiron, I got really disinterested in aussie rules. Played my first game for the year on Saturday and just couldnt get going. I feel more confident on the gridiron. Especially after all the work the state coaches put in with me.

I helped out with the juniors tonight, and really enjoyed it. Really wish i went out to the Spartans years ago when i started thinking about it.

Totally agree HH3
I played a season with the Razorbacks and my next year of footy was very mediocre
I went from 42 1/2 to 44 neck in about 6 months with the neck strengthening exercises
I couldn't wait for the next season but then hurt my neck doing one on one rugby scrums when pi$$ed
Undefeated but crippled forever ;)

I still love the game and especially watching left tackle where I played

Only just saw this Jimbo.

Ive played two games of Aussie rules now, and cant wait for even the gridiron preseason to start.

Ive got a bit of reps in as a scout defense for the juniors, but very antsy for the real stuff.

Cant imagine how the guys that didnt go to state are feeling.

Itd be good to catch up. We play the Pigs in week 1. You should come out and have a watch.
