Found a great documentary on Netflix last night, "The battered bastards of baseball".
Shot in a similar fashion to the Americas Game series, but a bit more relaxed.

Watched that one a few months ago.

Also, 42, the Jackie Robinson biopic is very good.

Not sure if its still on Netflix, but that's what I watched it on.

They sold 10,000 tickets, but no one turned up due to weather and time slot I think.

Having said that, the Cubs played at the same time, and still got a crowd.

Neither the Sox nor the Rays are must see attractions this year, most certainly not when it's 4°c with a wind chill making it fee like -2°c.

The ground announcer still said the attendance was 10k+ due to the ticket sales. I reckon there may have been a few raised eyebrows in the crowd.

A's pitcher Manaea pitches the first no hitter of the season.

A mate goes for the A's so gave me the heads up going into the 9th.

Great to watch.

I watched this one last night.

They just left Giolito on the mound, even when he was walking everybody. He walked three in a row, and Reddick hit a one pitch grand slam. They still left him in.

Probably decided the games over (in the top of the 2nd), we'll just leave our 23 year old pitcher in for more reps.

I did feel bad for him though.

Sox are in the middle of an awful run. 8-20 2-10 at home.

Lost a 3 game series at Oakland 3-0, lost a 3 game series at home to Houston 3-0, lost a 3 games series 2-1 at Seattle and won a 5 game series ( with a postponed game catch up ) 3-2 over the equally shit Kansas City ( 8-22 ) then dropped a two game series 0-2 to St Louis.

Starting a 6 game run at home. Got 4 against the Twins then two against Pittsburgh. Need to win some at home.

3rd bottom average home crowd, 2nd bottom average crowds over all. Smelly product right now.

In some related good news I recently picked up a new Sox hat that a friend purchased at the Sox Shop in Chicago around 6 weeks ago and it fits, well, like a glove.

Houstons pitching staff are keeping the team in it this season so far.

The bats are very cold.
