One thing is the Bengals are set up for ongoing success whereas LA and Tampa seems like one and done teams so with a better OL you will be up there for many years.

Yeah, getting so close to that first championship in franchise history only to lose, is gut wrenching.

Still, the Bengals can be mighty proud of their season and will be around the mark in future.

I know the US system and the AFL system are different but they do have some significant similarities.

Could we see AFL teams try and follow the Rams strategy of almost giving up on the drafts (especially picks between 20-40 that carried some trade value) and just going hard at the trade table for selected pieces of the puzzle, aiming to win 1 superbowl rather than looking for a long era of success.
