Watching the Australian Open this Week has got me thinking...

Has a player (both men and women) won a grandslam by winning every game in every round in 5 sets or 3 sets in the womens draw???

If anyone knows if this has occared, i'd be interested to find out.

or if anyone has any other interesting tennis facts or records, i'd like to here what they are.

I'm no spell check but I would say that it hasn't happened. If you are good enough to win the grand slam you don't go through the early rounds in five setters on four seperate occasions.

How good is Federer?
Not as though Haas is playing that bad of tennis but he's just been bagle'd in the 2nd set after losing the first 6-4.
Looks as though only an injury can stop him now.

While I'd be sure REB would be right, Dominik Hrbaty was sure doing his hardest to win by this method until he lost another 5 setter to Davydenko this afternoon.
Did anyone see the match point of the Hrbaty-Igor Andreev match from Saturday when it was 42 degrees in Melbourne? In case you didn't, Hrbaty was serving and Andreev was wandering around with his back turned a good 5 metres behind the baseline. Andreev didn't complain that he wasn't ready so I was just wondering if perhaps his body had started to go into shutdown mode (a la' Dean Jones in Madras - 1986). Looked very odd!

Haas has come back to win the next 2 sets.
