I quite liked Los Angeles and the surrounding areas (Long Beach, Anaheim, Burbank, Santa Ana etc etc), but I do see where you're coming from. There's so much to do there, but there's a very seedy and fake feel to it.

I spent 45 minutes on Hollywood Blvd and was more than ready to go. The most fake city I've ever visited, all about image, but so so dirty.mighty hounds wrote:I stayed along Hollywood Blvd and the whole street just stank. Homeless people everywhere, people pestering you every 10 meters. like get fuc***.
There's plenty the see in between NYC and LA if you like to go from one side to the other.

I liked Venice Beach and Santa Monica Beach. Spent a few hours out there one day.

NYC, on the other hand, is everything a city should be.

Agreed. They're so different from each other, but they're both great to visit.

I was in NYC for 8 days and didn't want to leave. Walking around times square at midnight was a very unique experience. LA can go jump.
