Allow plenty of time on the Great Ocean Road, very few places to overtake and its a slow trip anyway, esp at this time of year I would think!

Was interestiing to see Green lake full of water just out of Horsham. Never seen it full of water before.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Strange you say that. Used to go skiing there as kids but in the last few years i have never seen water in it. Good to hear it full again

Yeah, it's still got a fair bit in it - I can't ever remember seeing water in it, I took a photo when I was there in december 2010 during their floods and went out for another look when I was there 3 weeks ago, still looks very healthy.

even moreso, Lake Natimuk!

I went skiing on Green Lake in Jan 1992, wasn't deep but there was quite a few ski boats using it

It dried up just after I moved to Horsham in early 1999, and I believe it was dry until the floods a few years ago.

I remember reading an article in the Wimmera Mail Times around early '99 that there were volunteers that had skin problems after wading through the last remains of the water to try to see if there were any murray cod in the lake.

Yeah I left around that time, about November 1998.

For years, dozens of blokes would go out there with their lawnmowers to keep the grass down :lol:

It actually had no water in it until December 2010! :shock:
