Just spent a week over there for a friends birthday.
Plenty of great Villas around Seminyak all at very good prices.
We were only a 5 minute walk from the beach, had a private villa for the group with maids and a decent sized pool/spa and entertainment area.
On previous visits we have stayed in Resorts/Hotels, after this experience we will only stay at villas from now on, awesome

Sanur is a great spot. But very quiet, so depends what your after. If your after a bit of night life then this isn't the place. If your after relaxation, good spot. No young Aussie d!ckheads here, just a few oldies and mainly Europeans when I went. Seminyak is a bit more up beat, loads more people.

We have stayed in Kuta on our last visits and would have to say Seminyak is like a differant world.
Not as much hustle, beach is 100 times better and nowhere near the hustlers or touts.
Enjoyed it a whole lot more this team, still went down to Kuta a couple of days for some shopping and some of the bars but wouldnt stay there again

Cheers guys

We are looking at Sanur and Seminyak for sure, not after the hustle and bustle looking for relaxation - will do white water rafting and 1 day of shopping and then feet up the other days/nights

just looking through some villas and resorts now.

We stayed at Sativa Sanur Cottages. It was ok, nice big rooms, pool etc, but a bit out dated. We were spewing we booked 10 days there, if I did it again I'd book 3 nights and look around and ask other tourists what their hotels are like.

Dont rate Virgin at all.
Went with them on the way over, food was free. Beer was free but had to pay for spirits. Ran out of beer before we had gotten halfway, only had light beer left.
No inflight entertainment whatsoever. Wont ever go with them again on an international flight.
As for things to do, there is plenty in all those locations, have been a few times and still havnt seen everything we wanted

Whenever i want a quick relaxing holiday, Bali will be my first port of call. Loved Sanur would go back there over Thailand anyday. Half the distance and exactly the same as say Koh Samui.

Modbury's footy trip just left for Patong this morning.... I wonder how much impact 30 blokes can have on place

Wedgie I reckon Patsy and Apple will be getting some business at the Koolabar

They stayed in the same hotel as me. They were very well behaved I was very surprised. Although I seen 1 bloke in a sling I'm sure that would be an interesting story.

Petong Merlin is a great hotel.

Carey, they are more of a hazard to themselves than anyone else

The sling not such an interesting story, more lucky it was only a sling required.... from all reports everyone enjoyed themselves and all came home safe, minus the clipped wing! Now they have a week of prep until pre season starts 8)
