Really? Nice work! :D

I think you would find that people in cabins etc are just looking for good, clean facilities (that work) and a decent play area for the kiddies. You couldn't ask much more than that in a caravan park.

given that Meningie can be a popular place come this time of year, perhaps ask people coming in and out to make suggestions.

What park facilities do you have now?

Nice one TroyGFC :D

Completely off the subject - lol....
Lived in Meningie for a while myself. My step-father (and then Uncle after us) managed Lake Albert Station.
Also the place where I was women's dart champion at the age of 15.
Really did like the place :D

Back on track: What FC said and also the one thing I always ask when booking cabins in caravan parks is "Do you have air-conditioning".
Made the mistake of not asking this question once and ended up in the caravan park when it was 35+ degrees no air-con - not fun.

You probably already have one there, but I also think it's good to have a small kiosk selling essentials and icecreams etc.

O:)
You get what you give....

Shade and more shade, and a pool or two, a warm yellow one for the little kids and one for the rest.

Do you do mates rates Troy? 8)

Brilliant mate- we've stayed there in the past on golf trips. Clean cabins, reasonable prices and well maintained 'grounds' are all we ask- and Ice to be available for purchase 24/7...

Cabins - Clean and linen supplied. I'd rather pay an extra $20-30 a night to avoid having to pack sheets, quilts etc.
- Air-Con in the cabins is a certainty.

I'll be taking you up on the mates rates too. ;)

As with other posters, clean facilities is one.

Some others for thought;

Good BBQ area
Function room for kids - pinball, arcade game, table tennis, air hockey
have some Wii's or PS3's (or both) for hire
DVD hire
vending machines or a good 'general store'
clothes washing and drying facilities
have owners with a good local area knowledge

Have got 2 BBQ's, well maintained toilets,showers,etc.
The TV games room needs something, at present only a TV and a table n chairs.
In our kiosk due to size only have room at moment for ice, iceblocks, milk and softdrinks.
Table tennis idea sounds good.

Clean showers definitely, nothing worse than showering in a pile of dead bugs, YUCK :ymsick:

A place for visitors to park which is somewhere near the cabins / tent sites is always good.

Shade / Aircon / Cooking facilities / Stuff for kids / Pool are all great

Basically cleanliness is a huge thing.

p.s had a quick look on the website, maybe you could make a website for the park.

Heading off to Goolwa Caravan park for new years. They have a putt putt as well as an outdoor swimming pool. Cant go wrong with those two. I also reckon a designated area for sports is a great idea. Some of the best cricket games I have ever played have been in caravan parks, get a team together and compete against other campers or just yourselves awesome fun.

Swimming pool is a massive goer.
Agree re: decent sized area for cricket / football etc.

It's all about facilities and cleanliness though as people have said.

If you're a camper, it's great to have a decent area to be able to wash dishes etc rather than just under a tap near your tent.

Just got back from Marion Bay Caravan for 7 nights. Good set up right near the beach, not much grass but have artificial grass on every site which was good.

Main things I would say are, clean toilets and showers, plenty of room for kids to play and ride bikes and friendly hosts.

Also they had free wireless internet which was gold as the only phone reception you could get down there was if you were thru Telstra.
