Holidays, where, to go, how to get there, travel stories.

Germany and Scandinavia.

My wife and I are off to Norway in June (I'm off to a conference in Oslo), and en route* we're going through western Germany (a town called Aachen, just outside of Cologne), and plan to pass through Denmark and hire a car there before flying up to Oslo.

Any suggestions or advice from those who've been though this bit of the world before?

Go find some breweries in Germany :D

I have been to germany twice, but spent most of my time near Hiedelberg, Munich, and Berlin, so im not sure that helps you. I loved it though, would happily go back again

I went to Denmark last year it is very very expensive do not eat, drink or catch taxis.
It has Public Holidays all the time so be careful if expecting places to be open.
Copenhagen looked like a building site when I was there and most attractions are spread out so you need to do your research before you arrive.
It was the only downer on my trip.
