Qantaslink between capital cities

Researching a trip to Brisbane I notice that Qantas is now putting some Qantaslink Boeing 717s on the ADL-BNE route, and has also been using the regional carrier between other capitals.

Anyone flown on one of these? Comments, good or bad?

Can't comment on the capital cities but use the regional carrier religiously to Port Lincoln.

Hardly any issues apart from the occasional over cautious flight crew with the weather. Understand when there is no fire crew based at Port Lincoln airport.

I like them and find them more comfortable than the 737’s.
They can be affected by the weather a bit more due to size but I’ve found them pretty smooth the majority of time. If you are flying Economy my recommendation would be to stay away from the “A” seats as the foot room is quite cramped.

We've been on them a few times from Mildura to Melbourne. They are fine. No dramas at all.

Personally love the 717s- they use them from Melb to Hobart. Smooth.

Always select a window/Aisle on the 3 seat row, usually snag a gap seat.

Righto, fears are allayed. I've booked the tribe on a Qantas ADL-BNE flight, travelling on a QantasLink 717. May report back here afterwards.

I’ve done this flight a couple of times now for work.
It’s all good ONCE you get up in the air.
I had fair turbulence leaving Brisbane both times but all good once going ;)

As expected, not an issue. No in-seat entertainment screen but there is entertainment streamed by wifi so you can watch it on your own device if you desire. Got to go back to Brissy for work in the near future and shall be boarding a 717 again.
