Flight - Well Jim was pretty much spot on. The plane was new & comfortable, plenty of leg room, but the food was awful. Beer, while plentiful, was room temperature. Asked for a wine with dinner..... not a chance!

Airport - Amazing joint. You get a train from the gate (essentially) to the terminal where you collect your bags etc. Its massive!

City - Only been here for about 10 hours, and slept for 7 of them. The road system from what I could make out was very new & it was like you are travelling on elevated freeways. The run from the airport into where I am staying was 20 to 25 minutes not a single traffic light! Checked into hotel, and had a quick look around near my hotel last night. Found a sports bar for a cold beer, nightcap.

I am working from my room today, and will head over to the exhibition centre this afternoon for a look at our stand, collect accreditation etc.

Then 3 days of working the stand.....and playing spot the Aussie, or other English speaking customer!

Half way the day 1 of the expo. Lots of smiling, nodding and double handed presentation of business cards!

Headed into downtown Shanghai last night, then along the Bund. Reminded me in ways of Hong Kong harbour. Did a rooftop bar, $18 for a Corona!

Closing thoughts. A very modern city, and excellent infrastructure. A tad on the expensive side, so pleased I wasn’t paying the bill very often. Not sure it’s a place I would be going out of my way to come back to. Mind you I said that of Hong Kong too. The exhibition I was involved in is on again in 2 years time. Next expo for me is Bangkok in May 2020. Works for me, I love the joint!
