Stayed at the Mantra Portsea, they always look after us amazingly well.
Down in Cairns now and slowly working our way down the coast

I'm assuming the CLGFC footy budget took care of the bill? ;)

Perfect weather up here in the riverland atm Boon.
Pubbed it at Barmer on Sat, did Wilkadene, Renmark and Berri on Sunday, Loxton yesterday and just heading out not to have luncch at Banrock Station near Kingston on the Murray.
So much better than when we were up here 4 yeara ago and copped 45 degree heat most days.
Difficult night having BBQs downing a few beers overlooking the golf course too.

15 days away so we could still get anything, but, such is the beauty of the Murray it could be 15 and pissing down or 38 and blazing sun and we'll have just as good a time. Cannot wait.

Yeah true, as long as there's air con on the houseboat you're laughing.
What route are you taking?
We did the Renmark to border and back via Wilkadene, at least you'll have a lot more water than we did, got as shallow as 30cm before the last lock when we went.

Morgan up as far as we can get, probably to Waikerie or thereabouts.

We've got 2 couples who have done a couple of houseboats and 2 couples who haven't so we'll cover some miles for them to enjoy the sights but we're all thirsty people so we'll be parked by 4pm most days. :D

Sounds awesome!
Yeah I'd hate to think of how much our houseboat owner made out of our empties when our trip finished!

Food at Banrock was unreal when we were up there in December.

Due to holding a $1,600 Jetstar voucher from the failed Bali trip we are planning a Tassie trip in late July to catch Roos/Cats game and spend a week going up at down the each coast including a game at Barnbougle, we were only there in 2017 but the 6 nights wasnt enough and loved it.

Thinking a trip to Melbourne for Roos/Crows in April also.

Really good mate of mine wants us to join him and several members of his family for a 5 night Cruise in October (just Melb to Tassie and return) - Im Sceptical but really wanna do it (not sure I can convince the missus though).

Noone has a crystal ball obviously, but Im being told the Cruise Lines have put some really tough mandates on their staff in terms of CoVid safe requirements and also onboard for the passengers.

Question - Would YOU risk getting on a Cruise ship in 7 months time?

My wife loves cruises and unsurprisingly her inbox is getting smashed with cruise offers at the moment, Im not keen but to be fair most of it relates to not wanting to do a cruise again for a while (that was my attitude pre-covid).

I feel that Australia/NZ will be used as a guinea pig for the industry return and will be pretty safe, I don't think you will have too many worries from a health perspective JK.

Yes

It'll be better safety wise and money back wise than anything else!
Bogans would be the only concern as per any cruise. ;)

Wedgeman - I'll be with the Bogans so should be right lol.

Dutchman, that mirrors my thoughts - Apparently the Oz cruise season is the 2nd biggest globally now behind the Seppos, and the last thing they'd want is another shutdown. So whilst nothing can be guaranteed, you'd think they'd have some se4riously strict plans in place for staff and passengers alike.

Booney - Not sure mate, haven't had that conversation with my Neuro yet, but if he recommends me having it I've got no problem in doing so. Friends Im going with won't though, they're strictly in the Bill Gates wants to reduce population camp.

I reckon they'll need a jab otherwise no cruise.
