Welcome to the Motoring Forum

Postby Wedgie » Sat Feb 02, 2013 2:22 pm

At the request of some members we now have the motoring forum, the place to discuss motorsports, new cars, mechanical work to cars, motorbikes, etc, etc.
Enjoy!

Why under General Talk though?

Is motorsport no longer considered sport?

Which other athletes maintain a heart rate of 180-200 for 2 hours straight?

Hmmm...weird

It's a general motoring thread too, not just Motorsport

Well they are different things...

Some have a love of all things mechanical, and some have a love for speed & competition..should be in different sections IMO

Should we put the thread about "how to build a grandstand" in the SANFL or AFL sections?

A good proposal Purch, put them together because I didn't think there would be the demand for 2 separate forums but what you say makes sense, what do others think?

I'm on the threshold of buying a camper van and I want to know of other people's experiences. Traps to be wary of, Kombi vs HiAce. Or is it all about Mitsubishi, Mazda or Kia? To carry two people maximum. Is this in general motoring or camping?

I'd vote for separating them as it would make it easier to ignore the Motorsport posts. ;)
I'm interested in driving, and in cars I could drive but not in watching others flash past in microseconds.
(I went to the last Adelaide Grand Prix because I got a free pass, and it was the last, but I didn't stay long.)
