Best cushioning I've had in a shoe by a country mile. I was always a Nike man (mainly for looks) a mate of mine worked in the sports store and told just try them you'll never regret it with knee the way they are. I've never worn Nikes again.

Just be a little careful with Kayanos as they are meant for people who over pronate

Shit i just bought a pair and i have a neutral foot. whats the best way to know if you over pronate?

Loved ASICS until they decided to stop supplying to independent retailers in Australia. Wankers.

@mighty hounds best thing to do is go into a specialised running store and they will put you on a treadmill and check you out. If you are not doing anything too strenuous on the kayanos you should be ok though.

Which is me! The bastards are tough to wear in too, massive blisters on both feet although one of them probably wasn't helped having to wear a massive ankle stabilizer strap...

Bought first of Kayanos a couple of months ago after always wearing the 2000 range, wasn't happy with my last pair so thought I'd try something different.
Honestly, a little disappointed in them given they are meant to be a better sneaker, and might go back to the 2000's

I've run in Hokas for a few years now, very good for cushioning so helps runners like me being tall and 85-90kg. Which model are you looking at?
Never tried the Brooks Beast though

Hoka One One is the brand  There are heaps of models though.

Best thing about Hoka are most if not all of their models are very cushioned. Looking for roads or trails usage?

Went into athletes foot at colonnades.
Service was brilliant.

Tried on a few shoes.

But ended up on the Hoka - Bondi.
Feels like walking on a cloud

In the market for new shoes. My last 2 sets have been the ASICS Kayano's, which have been really good. So tempted to stick to a working formula but also interested to hear some other people's experiences with shoes as well.

If you like the kayanos and they suit your feet (they are a stability shoe), I would stick with them. They are pricey though.

I used to buy kayanos, may still buy more, my last pair is the nimbus supposedly very similar to kayanos but slightly softer arch support.
I would buy them again in a heartbeat. Still.similar price to the kayanos so no cost saving.
I am an asics man though.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Yeah that's the thing. They are pricey but they work. Might just need to stick with them.

I'm happy with my current New Balance set I picked up at Burnside Village Athlete's foot for half the usual price because they were the last of that range in stock. Perfect fit. The salesperson suggested several more expensive options, but I said I'd browse and found these, which felt more comfortable than those recommended.

I also have some ASICS which are fine for exercising, but the NB are very comfortable and look good enough to wear as smart casual dress.
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!

I just picked up pair of Nimbus for $160 from Hype. https://www.hypedc.com/au/

After only endorsing Asics for yonks, my last pair were Nikes and keen to get back to Asics.

Bloody comfy for running shoes (i always bought cross trainers before) only con: they're Power colours
