4kms on the treadmill this morning and some light weights on the upper body.

Day 1 done. Here we go.

24kms in 7 days and getting the back, chest, upper body mobile. Feeling good.

4:45am alarm for 5am in the gym and out at 6. Getting 4kms done in 42-44 minutes and 2 or 3 exercises 4 x 12 reps.

Doing my first boxing class on Saturday morning. :-S

First boxing class report :

Absolutely f*cked.

Enjoyed the session, but, as expected bit off more than I could chew ( no pun ) and ended up gassed about 15 minutes into the 45 minute session. Limped my sorry arse through the last 30 minutes.

Much change to diet or beer intake to match the exercise?

Apparently I need to drop 15kg this year

I love beer, I mean, I really love beer and there's simply no way I'm giving that up. I cut bread out probably 18 months ago, heart burn was 30 minutes behind it. I still have the Friday night pizza or fish and chips, something to look forward too. My diet (other than beer) was never my problem. Man Shakes for breakfast, wraps or salads for lunch, I don't each much "shit".

I sit all day, I mean, all day. Other than site or customer visits I am in my chair from 8-4/430 with coffee, water or piss breaks the only time I get up.

All I've done is add an hour of exercise 4-5 times a week ( either walking or walking + light weights - I have upped the weights a bit this week ) to my routine and feel a hell of a lot better for it. I now look forward to putting the shoes on and hitting the pavement.

It's only a start, I've got a long way to go but I've started slowly, building each week and making the exercise part of my routine. I'll get there.

Get on the rower Boon, cardio and strength in the one workout. You will look like Stephen Tingay in 3 months.

Last week was stymied by a lergy, I stayed away from the gym while the cough sounded like an old labrador who smoked a pack a day.

Did only 2 walks, both 3kms and the lergy kicked my arse on both. Flat as a tack and couldn't get the air in / out.

First morning back at the gym this morning and struggled through 4kms and chest day. The routine got broken but I'm hell bent on getting it back on track this week.
