Has anyone tried replacement shakes
And do they OR did they work ?

Ive used them and i still do occasionally, yes i found they worked as long as you had a solid training/fitness programme and also if the meals you were eating were healthy i.e salads etc.

The biggest problems i found with them was a) the taste became sickly after a while and struggled to drink them and b) being such a lover of foods, just didnt feel satisfied :(

Weigh yourself before breakfast, takes out some of the variability and confounding effects.

Yes, I take every advantage to support my optimism - I weigh in naked, after my morning pee and before my breakfast.

DUROMINE

Mate of mine swears by Duromine tablets
His doctor prescribes it to him, but some doctors wont for whatever reasons

He says he loses weight very quickly
Feels energetic
He cant eat large meals as gets full very quickly

Others will say Duromine can be addictive and use with caution

Problem is when he comes off Duromine, he then puts the weight back on

I used a tablet given to me by a GP about 25 years ago
Might have been Duromine ?
Wow, couldnt get to sleep on the tablet, but it worked for weight loss
It was like being on speed
I recall coming of it after 2 weeks and had a 6 kilos lossage, I could not stay awake that day I was too sleepy

Anyone tried Duromine or other tablets ?

Reakon forget all about the pills and bells and whistles.

Diet change - as opposed to diet (which never works) - and regular exercise.

No other way...

Agreed. That's what I've done this year (though haven't done too much in the exercise department) and have been pleased with my results so far. I've avoided any fad diets/diet pills as they're always a temporary fix.

Also completely ignore The Biggest Loser as their method of weight loss is both unsustainable and dangerous.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

While the makers claimed it wasn't addictive when it was first released many years ago it wasn't long before some people were taking them in large doses and getting similar reactions and withdrawal symptoms to those suffered by the users of amphetamines. It is not surprising as the molecular structure resembles fairly closely that of amphetamines and adrenaline.

Ive tried some of those weight loss pills i.e Lipo X6 and yeah they recommend you dont take a tablet something like 8 hours before bed, you dont sleep!

Some of those tablets increase blood pressure as well, and can become addictive and as i said mess with your sleep patterns. Most tablets will have a warning on them about only using in a cycle e.g. 8 weeks on, 8 weeks off.

They are only there to give you an energy boost and a kick start on your way. They are also appetite suppressents which can sometimes be a bad thing, if you dont feel hungry you dont eat obviously, you lose all the nutrients and protein you need thus lose strength and health, and can end up sick.

Heard second hand a friend went to a hipnotist and got hipnotised to eat healthy and exercise more. You can write it off to your health insurance.
