Myfitnesspal on the iPhone seems really good, and easy to use. I've been avergaing between 1000-1500 calories each day.

Have you tried not counting calories? The problem I have found when training clients is they worry more about the calories they consume more then eating 6 meals a day. Even though keeping you calories down is just as important, you soon learn what you can and can't eat and the portion size you should be eating

A belated welcome to SAFOOTY, Im enjoying reading your recent posts
Please continue to keep up the good advice an insights
Im into a mode this month, and doing well
Im not counting calories, but understand what I need to eat or not eat
Im mainly sticking to 3 portion controlled meals per day
BUT
If I get hungry in between, I then eat up to 6 times a day
Basically I try and average 30 meals a week
That 20 of them should be the very right foods
That 7 should be right foods
That 3 can be bad to very bad foods
One thing for absolute certain
By having almost zero spuds, breads, and junkfood = loss of cravings by about 50%
Anyway a question
Is 3 meals OK if Im not hungry
Or are you an advocate of 6 sMALl meals, for sheer routine

Green Tea can be quite bland in its traditional form, but its an aquired taste for me
Adding honey is an option for taste
Perhaps try a natural sweetener called Stevia
Stevia is calorie free
WEIGHTS
As of today Im going to incorporate weights
Should I do weights daily ?
I intend to do them about 3-4 days per week and in moderation to start with
