A study conducted by Wilson et al. From the University of Tampa, FL, shows when you add in LISS you get a temporary boost in weight loss. Subjects lost a couple of pounds the first week and after that they lost nothing. This happened because their metabolism completely adjusted to that and that became their new set point to what they had to do just to maintain.

I have actually heard this from so many people it's not funny and even from people that do HIIT. The problem in't with the cardio but with thee diet, a person that weighs 100kg is going to have a higher calorie intake then a person that weighs 90kg. So every week your getting lighter you should be cutting the calories as well, If you don't then that's when you will see a difference in your fat lose.

The other thing is HIIT isn't just sprinting for a minute and walking for 4mins and doing that for 1/2hr. HIIT can be walking on a treadmill at the highest angle it has for a minute then bringing it back to flat, in other words you do something that brings up your heart rate then let it go back down and keep doing that.

The best part of the article is the bottom line part. like it says you will working longer at your goals if your doing something you enjoy rather something you don't enjoy. I would suggest people trying both as a lot of the time 1 thing might work for someone but might not always work for a other.

exercise bikes are good but you just have to put the hard work. I see a lot of people getting off the bike after 1/2hr without 1 drop of sweat, after half and hr of exercise you should be sweating if your not then your not working hard enough.

Not a bad idea

Done a spin / rpm class last night - that seemed to work you pretty good.

anyone here do much swimming? I started last Monday and head out each morning at 6.30am. Doing 20 laps each morning and eating healthy, so hopefully i will lose a few kilo. is it a good way to lose weight, or does it build up muscle? I want to lose weight though, not increase muscle build up.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?

swimming isn't the best form of cardio but it is better then nothing, if you can try and go for a 1/2hr walk after your swimming.

You won't really gain muscle mass on a calorie deficit diet. In fact, it's hard work increasing muscle mass even with a specific focus on gaining muscle mass.

Walk for an hour (at a brisk pace) in the morning when you have an empty stomach. Green tea or green tea extract is your friend - increases your metabolism.

It's very hard to keep your muscle mass will cutting. The hardest part about gaining muscle mass is how much you have to eat, there's no way I could do a bulk without supplements to help I just can't physically eat the amount I need to. Green tea is a great supplement and has so many health benefits, the only problem is you need to be drinking about 5-7 cups a day for any effect on weight loss.

http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/now/gtea.htm

This is the one I take taking 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon equals to roughly 8 cups a day, $20.97USD for 200 day supply. I just had a look at Lipton Green tea at Woolies basing on drinking 8cups a day it works out be 68cents a day. NOW green tea capsules works out to be 10cents a day.

Just ordered some of these tablets. They have a special where you buy 300 and get 100 free. 400 tablets cost $25.00 all up which included postage. That's bloody cheap. went to Priceline pharmacy and they were $37.00 for 60 tablets

That's actually cheap for Aus the first lot I ordered was $30 for 30 and that was 3 a day. Bodybuilding.com is the best place to buy any supplements there cheap quick shipping and the best part is they won't ship anything to Aus that know will get stopped by customs, so you don't have to worry about not getting it.
