I'm trying to find flatter areas to ride in at present, given I live in the Stirling area.kickinit wrote:What you put in is what you get out. Try to find hilly areas to ride

For starters when fasting your body uses muscle as a energy source, it may look like you have lost weight and you think your more healthy but in realality you are infact more unhealthy then before. This is why people shouldn't look at the BMI, last time I cut I was 95kgs i'm 6'4" and 4%bf but according to the BMI I was overweight, but I could be 6'4" 90kgs and have 20%bf and be classed healthy.
The funniest thing about this article is this is the only sentence they talk about the human side of testing.
"The diet was also tested on humans and appeared to protect the heart, circulatory system and brain against age-related diseases including Alzheimer's, they said".
Wow that research has got me really wanting to go and fast.

4% BF?!
That was when I was thinking of competing for the time and wanted to see if I would be able to do it. Pretty much was only like that for a day had pretty much minimal water retention, but for comp I was probably too lean would of rather been 5-6%. I will post pics of this comp should be heavier just hopefully I get bf% right, it's the hardest thing out of it all to do.
Pics or GTFO

2.2 kilo loss, thats a good start, `but the first week of any diet is the easiest
REPLACEMENT SHAKES
Used them for a few days but gave up
Shakes filled me up OK , but didnt supress my apetite as much as I had thought they would
The 1910 Fruitgum Company had a hit song in the 60s with this lyric'' Yummy yummy yummy I got food in my tummy''
Nothing beats the feeling of eating proper food
I sub consiously keep thinking that drinking shakes was inadequate
So Ive abided by an old Normie Rowe lyric ''Shakeing all over''
Also felt bloated after the shakes and I reckon it might be a cause of a sorish back, a full tummy can do that
Yep no more shakes
TASTE
I was good , I didnt eat any take away Junky food
I did have chocolate and cake though
Ive noticed this
When I eat several junkyish meals per week , it is hard to get a nice taste for healthier foods
What I mean is after having a burger , the pleasureable taste of eating a peach is low
But when eating properly the pleasurable taste for fruit veges and salads is now higher
So good foods taste better
EXERCISE
Plenty of stretching and swimming early in the week, but got a bit of Vertigo, so gotta ''relax dont do it ''
WEEK 2
I kilo loss is the aim
Just gunna keep at it
No real game plan
MASTICATION
Gunna eat SLOW
Gunna ''chewy chewy chewy'' each meal really really slow
Weight experts reckon eating slow helps
Anyone agree ?

Best advice i can give is just start with the real basics.
-Eat Breakfast
-Aim for 3 main meals a day plus 2 snacks througout the day
-Try not to eat dinnner any later than 7-8pm (stay away from pastas for dinner great idea for lunches)
-Buy all low fat, low carb food
-Cut out soft drink (at most drink Pepsi Max, Coke Zero)
-Cut out any sugar, if you have to use equals etc etc
-Drink plenty of water

it's just a myth. I've said it before calories in vs calories out that is the basic to every single diet on the planet.
