Been off the piss for a week - hope it helps. Trying to lose my winter coat in time for the warmer weather. Things I've done to augment this: given up alcohol, switched from white bread to wholemeal, eating salad on takeaway night instead of pizza like everyone else. Been walking a bit more, but haven't had a whole lot of time for exercise. As I sit in a chair for most of the day, I've ordered one of those thigh master things - I saw one on Futurama and googled it to see if it was real, and sure enough it was, so I thought I'd give it a go as it was only $20 to order it from Hong Kong. Am also trying to give up chocolate but it is very hard as Mr McSpaz keeps buying it and asking me if I want some. (Of course he can eat whatever he bloody well wants as he goes running every day.)

Does oolong tea work to increase metabolism? I have some in the house - can't remember why I bought it though. It tastes pretty bloody awful but if it'll help my metabolism I'm happy to guzzle it.

Sounds pretty wacky, far fetched and unlikely to work.

TEAS
Theres 4 teas you might want to consider for weight loss
Dandelion Tea , cleanses the liver, so acts in a detoxifying manner , and has a nice taste
Green Tea , increases metabolism, but tastes bland
Oolong Tea , improves metabolism , but has a nothing taste to it
Licorice tea , combats sugar cravings, dunno about the taste as I have never tried it

I dont know how much of each Tea you need for maximum reputed benefits , but some is better than none I guess
Kickinit , from memory has posted that Green Tea Supplements are the way to go

STEVIA
For Green an Oolong tea , use a natural sweetener called Stevia , this will give the beverage a much sweeter taste

Green tea is great for boosting a metabolism, but really does need to be taken in supplement form rather then drinking it. You basically have to drink tea all day to get what you will from supplementing. Also for some reason Australia's prices on green tea are ridiculous and should only buy from america. But it's like every supplement it isn't goin g to do anything if your not exercising have a good diet.

I quite like green tea on its own without sweeteners so I'm happy to drink that all day long. :) Oolong tea really does taste like crap though. But I paid for it so I may as well drink it; I'll just make a big thermos of iced oolong tea and then skull it.

You're meant to get rid of fluids, not take them on board.

Damn I was hoping they had actually brought out a cola drink that wasn't as over-sweet as they usually are.
Unfortunately, the artificially flavoured ones seem to be even more sickly sweet than the ones that use sugar...
