7.5 weeks to go. Event has sold out with 120 waiting list!
Training hit a snag 2 weeks ago with a minor hammy but back into 100% running again now. Time to ramp up the kms for the next 4-5 weeks and then start the 2-3 week taper which works better for me.

City to bay officially called off. Going with a virtual thing.

Not sure that works for me, I mean how can I sink beers down at Glenelg after the run now.

11 days to go!
Long range weather is looking like clear and 19° which should be good although would prefer cooler and cloudier but could be much worse this time of year...
All the loading is done, cruisey runs and taper time until game day which is GF day and a perfect excuse not to watch if Port make it  although my running mate I am doing it with is mad Port so might get a mention once or twice...
Feeling really good and can't wait for it to start!

2 days to go now... nervous has hell but excited
all training is complete and (touch wood) uninjured.
Hardest part is knowing what to have in the drop bags at the aid stations...never run a race needing a drop bag (always carried everything on my back) so that is playing on my mind.
Weather is going to be perfect although maybe a little wet around Mt Compass and chilly 12 deg. I much prefer running in the cold than the heat though.
Can't wait!

Avoiding the footy scores?

Yeah, me too, just without the running.

It's been a welcome distraction...
My mate who I am running it with is mad Port...and was going to live stream the GF while we ran if Port made it

What an eventful day but got it done. 15:09.
My running mate had a bad time of it with illness and fatigue and had to pull out at 75km
Managed to pull away after that but probably left a good hour out there... next year!
