Fun runs

Postby smac » Thu Feb 21, 2013 2:45 pm

Have a few planned for this year.

Want to do City-Surf in Sydney and will do City-Bay again here.

Have just signed up for Colour Run which is on May 19. Looks like a good laugh as well as another milestone in training.

Anyone have any others they know about? Keen to put a few more on the list.

Sturt Gorge run sounds good, but have a wedding the night before. 9k's might be a good cure.

smac, also aiming to do the City-Surf this year.

There's a trail run from Birdwood-Lobey-Castambul (30 or 15k's) in late April which sounds good, but never having done any trail running not sure whether to have a go or not.

Would love to do a trail run but my ankle is far too sloppy for that to be a good idea.

Trail runs are great fun, less pressure than road run and are a lot more relaxed, give it a go.
All sorts of trail runs varying in distances coming up, The Cleland Trail & Pioneer Women's Trail.
SARRC website has all the info http://www.sarrc.asn.au/

Sloppy ankles, my right ankle is not great. Strap it up no problems

Yeah I loved it! The first 2kms was quick...then the couple of hills through the middle slowed me down and yeah that last 2km climb finished me off!

What time did you do? Mine was 57.01

Must have been some climb 2 run it in that time! Isnt the gorge run only 9kms? First 2kms quick? Your last 7 must have pretty slow!

Thought you must have known him after his comment MW. Whats Up cheetah? Not an easy run at all, had to climb over logs, and some parts were so steep up and down it was basically impossible to run.

What does it matter to you if it was fast or slow, so long he was happy and enjoyed the run.
