Any of you fitness guru's tried it?

Apparently will be 2013's new craze fat loss phenomenon

Many variations of IF from the 5:2 method where 2 non consecutive 24 hour periods consume no more than 500 cal. Or the 8 hour diet where the only food consumed must be in an 8 hour window.

it's no fat loss phenomenon. and from what i've seen it doesn't give better results then a normal diet.

It's certainly no 'magic bullet'.

but Duromine is apparently ;)

I have read some articles over recent months that intrigued me do google search last night. Found out that it is much bigger 'Craze' than I originally thought.

Thinking further research is required before I decide to starve myself. Actually sort of already do this on Cricket match days especially if we are fielding. I just can't seem to function on a full stomach.

So my Saturday would consist of breakfast at 8am then would not have a major meal again until 7pm or after. Plenty of water and Sports drinks during the day maybe some fruit or couple of sandwich triangles as well.

That's only a 12 hour fast?

You'd be better off on a 2pm-10pm feeding time every day of the week. But, when you play cricket, break the fast earlier than usual (at midday or whenever your lunch break is), as it won't really impact on weight loss.

Think I'm going to do more research before deciding on going without food for an extended period.

Let me get back into the gym and smash some weights first then I will take it from there.

If you are looking to build muscle (rather than lose fat), then IMO it is not the optimal approach.

If you are looking to lose fat, then it certainly has some advantages.

Studies show that you're more likely to over-eat by having small but frequent meals.

Yeh but if you plan your meals around your calorie intake then you shouldn't over eat. Having 6 meals a day is a good way to stop you feeling hungry. Especially for someone that is badly obese.
